Keravnos lost a game of its own as in the game ended just some seconds ago showed the same characteristics with the team of the previous two seasons as in the last part of the game and upon leading the score with as many as five points (65-70, 1.47' before the end) the visiting site of Coach Yiannaras blacked out and the home team with a solid 7-0 at the end won a game with 72-70, a game which was actually lost for them finally won with Williams scoring his last four points (of 11 in total) at the very end and after Tony Crocker (201-G/F-87, college: Oklahoma), Demertzis, Owens, and Maze lost their shots in the last four offences of Keravnos Strovolou.
The game was a derby from the beginning since Etha took the lead with Donte Poole (190-G-89, college: Murray St.) being the top man of the quarter (and of the game) and took an early lead with a +6 (26-20) at the end of the period, while Keravnos was getting the points mainly by Tony Crocker (11 points) The second period was balanced for both teams with Maze being the main man for Keravnos who balance the game but both teams were very bad in their offensive skills so the period ended with the score being 15-16 for Keravnos while the half time ended with 41-36 for the home team.
The third period was the comeback for Keravnos with Maze in the leading role as it balance totally the game and took a lead with 52-54 at the end of the period before Donte Poole scores for break even the score to 54-54 at the end of the third period.
The fourth dramatic period the two teams were heading basket to basket and the score 6.09' to the end was in total balance as Donte Pooles 19th point gave a new draw in the game to 59-59, from then and on Keravnos took a serious lead first with Vaughn for the 59-64 and some minutes after with Trisokkas for the 63-68, 3.33' before the end of the game, Maze's traveling 2.27' before the end of the game was actually the stepping stone in the most crucial offense for Keravnos since the visitors lost the chance to win the game in both psychology and deficit as the possible +7 for Keravnos became +3 and at the end nobody could score from Keravnos as mentioned before, the last points on behalf of Keravnos was a lay-up by Demertzis 2 minutes before the end of the game... The rest is history..... and Etha is becoming the "terror" for Keravnos after last season's finals.. Top scorers for the two teams were: Etha: Donte Poole 21 points and 4 steals!, Downey 13, Williams 11 Keravnos: Tony Crocker 17 and 6 rebounds, Maze 14 and Trisokkas 11 (Vaughn and Kinnard scored 4 and 5 points respectively)
In the other game which was the opener of this 7th week, Apollon added its third victory after thrasing the weakest team of all, ENAD with 58-84 in a game which doesn't need a many explanations since the domination of the Limassol team as a visitor was undoubtable in all the edges of the court. Only in the first hald there was some game as Wilson and Sims were trying for the best for their team but they were outnumbered since Apollon and Coach Chougaz had better and tougher roster than the home team, The quarters were: 16-17, 35-39, 48-60 and the final 58-84 Top scorers: ENAD: Lewis Sims (203-F/C-73, college: New Orleans) 16 and Wilson 12 Apollon: MaJic Dorsey (185-PG-81, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: S.Indiana) 15, Kapelan 14, Brown 13, Walker 14, Noel 11

The first official game of the season found the champions to add another trophy in their series, as the team of Coach Linos Gavriel beat quite easy APOEL of the Greek Coach Jimmy Koustenis with 92-75 proving from the early beginning that things may stay the same for another one season. AEK Larnakas with the most expensive roster of the league having in its roster an amazing duet, Tore Jamal Thomas and Alexis Harris show no mercy and especially after the 21st minute they took the lead and never watch back. The score in the second time was 52-30!! APOEL begun the game very well but somewhere in the middle of the game the strength and passion from Koustenis players was not enough to compete the furious champions who had three players in double digits and another three very close to the double digits, while Coach Gavriel use his 11 out of 12 players (only the veteran Garcia remain at bench) splitting the time quite balanced while he saw Alexis Harris being in an amazing shape scoring 20 points with nearly perfect stats, dashing down 4 rebounds, sharing 2 assists and gaining three fouls remaining in the court the longest than all his team-mates
