After the unexpected loss of Michelin Etha last night against the team of Petrolin AEK Larnaka, and the parallel victory of Keravnos Strovolou over Ydra Asfalistiki ENAD, the Strovolos team is now at the top spot of the league and is waiving the 2012 from the top seat of the regular season. Both games (Etha Vs AEK and ENAD Vs Keravnos) ended with road wins since Nikolas Papadopoulos's team succeeded a serious road win against Etha in Nicosia with 65-67 after playing a very good basketball in a game which was a derby from teh beggining untill the end with the score changing more or less 23 times before the final call finds the visitors succeeding a great road win, with Fisher in teh top performing role since he performed his best game since he arrived in Larnaka and joined forces with AEK Larnakas 1.5 years ago. The American forward ended the game with 23 points, and 3 rebounds followed by the experienced Serbian Cohadarevic who ended the gaem with 14 points and 4 rebounds. On the other hand the home team of Etha had no real assistance by its usual "suspects" since Adegboye was in a very low productivity (the Englsih point guard ended the game with 3 points and 3 assists) while the experienced newcomer Ivan Maras (207-PF-86, agency: Beo Basket) proved to be a great assistance but was obviously lacking the systems of the team since he arrived only some days before the game and he didn't even knew his team-mates very well, at his first day in the Cyprus league he scored 7 points and dashed down 6 rebounds. Other than that, Etha's points came mainly by Dejan Cup who is waiving the 2012 with another great performance his top at this season as he ended the game with 19 points and 6 rebounds but he was all alone since the second in points was Poole but his 12 points were not enough to assist his team to win the game, moreover Williams 10 points and 4 rebounds proved too lithle also for Etha.
In the other game Keravnos played good basketball only for one period (the second one) but it was so good which let no real space for ENAD to react other than losing the game with just 7 points. Keravnos's new player, Bjulian was great as in his opener in the Cyprus league this season scored 7 points, dahsed down 13 rebounds and gave 4 assists numbers whih are much better than the ex player of Keravnos American Keenard who split ways on a common ground with the Strovolos team. Keravnos played in the last night's game without its top scorer Bobby Maze who took a special vacation and will be back in Cyprus today (after his short Xmas Holidays).
Enad, on the other hand played very well with the heroic veteran lewis Sims trying his best against a better team and the small deficit of just 7 points, was mainly due to his own very good game, the American veteran ended the game with 13 points and 6 rebounds the same exactly as the newcomer Vucasin Mandic who offer to his team 13 points in his opener in the Cyprus league this season. Razis also was very good against his ex team, since his 10 points and 4 rebounds gave him a post in the stand outs of his team. Tony Crocker (201-G/F-87, college: Oklahoma) and Vaughn were the top scorers for Keravnos with 16 points per head followed by Trisokkas who scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in the last game for 2012...
In the seatings now, Keravnos is at the top of the league followed by Etha with the same record (8-2) with third being APOEL followed by the 4th team of AEK Larnakas....

A mystery as a junior and a household name as a senior, Jones has the stroke and size to play in time at the highest level. Great midrange game, very efficient scorer.
