Keravnos Strovolou - Proteas AEL Limassol 96-60

Keravnos thrashed AEL with 96-60. The Strovolos team had no problem against the weak team of AEL which actually played without four of its main players since the Americans Outerbridge and Guillandeux and the Cyprus international Palalas were not in the roster while Aleksic was in the roster but played only for few minutes.
Keravnos final deficit of +36 points leaves no space for further details of the game as it was a continuous monologue for the home-team who played for a second consecutive game without Bobby Maze. its main point guard since he is arriving only today from the USA where he spent the Xmas Holidays. From Keravnos the usual suspect was the top scorer as Tony Crocker (201-G/F-87, college: Oklahoma) for another one game scored his 21 points to follow by the Cyprus International guard, Pilavas with 16 and Trisokkas with Bjulian a dozen each.
From AEL top scorer was Mihajlo Pesic (206-F/C-81) who scored nearly half the points of his team as he end up with 27 points followed by Allen's 13 and 10 by Roberto Alexander Mantovani (200-F-94).

Pappa Johns Pizza Omonoia Nicosia - Ydra Asfalistiki ENAD 66-77

In the other game the derby of the poor as it may be easily called, ENAD beat Omonoia and has now the upper hand in the case of relegation. The final score was 66-77and now both the teams have the same record (2-9) with ENAD outscoring the in between games since both the victories of the Agios Dometios team were against the team of Omonoia.
Christos Stylianidis team with a 2-9 record is for the first time came off the bottom of the league and Omonoia needs at least a small miracle to remain in the division.
The game was initially a derby with the newcomers of Omonoia (Harris, and Tschatarasvili) not being able to accumulate the game of their team. On the other hand, the newcomer Serbian Mandis was on fire so in the second period and after the poor in all aspects first quarter (16-18). Vucasin was a real "exterminator" since with due to his personal points and performance his team (ENAD) took a serious lead in the game at the end of the first half, with +15 points (28-43) and gain the psychology and the momentum for his team.
The third period was a copy paste period with the second since the deficit remain exactly at the same levels with the +15 points (45-60) being the final for the period.
The 4th and final period found Omonoia being very close to a thrash since the deficit went up to +22 for ENAD with less than five minutes to go. The only thing that the American players of Omonoia succeeded was to cut the deficit to the final 66-77 and leave minimum hopes for Omonoia to "survive" the division.
Top scorers were:
Omonoia: Baker 15, Diggs and Donatas Visockis (208-C-86, college: Portland St.) 14 per head and Allen 16
ENAD: Lewis Sims (203-F/C-73, college: New Orleans) 15, Vukasin Mandic (200-F/G-82) 23 and Anastasiadis 11
