Zvonko
Buljan
Croatian Zvonko Buljan (206-F-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Keravnos and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 25-year old forward had the game-high 19 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Keravnos in his team's victory, helping them to beat Omonia (#8, 3-17) 89-84. It allowed Keravnos to consolidate first place in the Cypriot Division A. Keravnos have a solid 18-3 record. In the team's last game Buljan had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Zvonko Buljan averages this season 9.0ppg and 7.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 39-year old American power forward Lewis Sims (203-F/C-73) of ENAD. Sims impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 7 rebounds. It was enough for ENAD to edge slightly higher-ranked Apollon (#5, 9-12) by 4 points 86-82. ENAD's 7th position in the standings has not changed. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories ENAD managed to get this year. Sims is a newcomer at ENAD and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Serbian Milutin Aleksic (203-F-82) of AEL (#6). Aleksic showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, six rebounds and seven assists in the last round. Despite Aleksic's great performance AEL lost 66-73 to the higher-ranked Etha (#2, 16-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. AEL can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 6-15 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Aleksic he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Aleksic has individually a great season in Cyprus. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.6ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 7.6rpg (3rd best) and assists with 4.9apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Filip Vukosavljevic (205-F/C-83) of Omonia - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Andrew Warren (195-G-87) of Apollon - 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Dante Stiggers (188-PG-82) of Apoel - 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
7. C.J. Williams (195-G) of Etha - 16 points and 4 assists
8. Mihajlo Pesic (206-F/C-81) of AEL - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Vernon Hamilton (183-PG-84) of ENAD - 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Mike Morrison (205-F-89) of Apoel - 18 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
