Christoforos
Livadiotis
The team of Coach Christoforos Livadiotis , Keravnos Strovolou after the shock of the second week (home loss from E.N Paralimni) is unbeaten after succeeding an amazing round with awesome road wins in Larnaka, Limassol, Paralimni, and Nicosia beating all its opponents and some of them, the toughest teams (AEK and APOEL) with some quite huge deficits. The Architect of this team, Coach Christoforos Livadiotis after a first season in Strovolos, (last season) saw his "mistakes" and correct them with the best feasible way as he kept his team together and only did the necessary additions. He brought in Strovolos, the experience forward Mohamed Abukar and the power forward/center Terrell Parks, with this two additions and of course all the other players of the team, Keravnos became a solid team who's nearly top in all the divisions. More precisely, the Strovolos team is the top team in the offence, in rebounds, in assists and in steals, while the awesome factor of the team this season is that at least 10 players have vital time on the rotation with 8 of them being very active..

Coach Christoforos Livadiotis every now and then is using also the talented youngsters, Panagiotis Markou, Pavlos Stavrinides and Orestis Andreou, while the experienced Theocharidis and Neophytou (especially the second one) together with Simon Michael, have special roles and sometimes these roles are key roles.. The basic structure of the team and the producers (points, rebounds, assists and steals) are the Cyprus International forward Stylianou, the Somalian (with American Passport) Abukar, the veteran Ross, Barker, O' Brien and Parks have been exchanging the top seats in all the statistical boards week by week...

The secret of this team is that it's simply a TEAM at all levels. The players of Keravnos do play for the team, Coach Christoforos Livadiotis who was totally supported by the management of the team, even though last season was not the most successful one for Keravnos, was able to work without any other internal issues, harmonically and influence his players with his own personal mentality, the mentality of the team. It's not coincidence that in each and every game the X'Factor" of the team is different, nearly never the same.. The one night is Abukar, the second night is Stylianou, the third night is Simon Michael, the forth night is Ross and O' Brien and so on and so forth.... Keravnos players play for the team and not for their personal stats... A mixture of experienced players (Abukar, Ross, Theocharides and Neophytou) together with quality players (Stylianou, O' Brien, Barker and Parks) and young talented passionate players (Simon Michael, Markou, Stavrinides, Andreou) do match an amazing group of team-mates. One of the few seasons that a team does play total basketball as a team and not because some stand outs are super players and they lead the team like the previous seasons when the teams had a couple of amazing players and were leading up in all the games.. This season is difference, this season is more of a team and less for leading figures, this season could be different for the Strovolos fans and players.. Obviously nothing is end and the season still has a long way to go but... something different is smelling in Strovolos... In a couple of months we will be able to witness whether this season will be different for Keravnos or it will be one and the same like all the previous seasons....
Abukar, Ross, Stylianou, O' Brien. Barket et all will take it until the very end or the team will explode? Will the remaining serious contenders (AEK and APOEL) add players who will make the difference or will the situation remain the same... Let's not forget that Keravnos beat both his competitors in their home courts with extremely impressive road wins..... Who knows, we will see what the future predicts!!!!

No matter what, Coach Christoforos Livadiotis is doing a unique job in Strovolos and they will need to do something over there in order not to lose him this summer from a foreign league, i.e. Greek A1, as his mate, Konstantinides did last summer in AGOR and is doing quite great......

Apoel adds Fleming to their roster, ex Iskra Svit - 18 hours ago
Cytavision Apoel Nicosia (Division A) added to their roster American forward Josh Fleming (198, college: Ferris State). He played last season at Iskra Svit in Slovakian SBL league. In 43 games he had 10.3ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.2apg. Fleming helped them to make it to the Slovakian Cup Semifinals.
