Montenegrin Vladimir Dasic (207-PF-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best AEK and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 28-year old power forward had the game-high 18 points adding six rebounds and six assists for AEK in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Etha (#6, 2-11) with 52-point margin 110-58. AEK maintains the 2nd position in Cypriot Division A. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. AEK will need more victories to improve their 9-4 record. In the team's last game Dasic had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at AEK, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Vladimir Dasic averages this season 13.8ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 32-year old American swingman Akeem Wright (200-F/G-84) of Apoel. Wright impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Apoel lost that game 64-70 to slightly higher-ranked Keravnos (#1, 12-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Apoel still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-6 record is not bad at all. Wright is a newcomer at Apoel and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.3ppg (#8). He also registered 5.9 boards per game. Kansas State University alumni Wright played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was former international guard Iraklis Pittakas (192-G-84) of Apollon (#5). Pittakas scored 27 points and passed four assists. Despite Pittakas' great performance Apollon lost 55-70 to slightly higher-ranked Enosis (#4, 6-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Apollon can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Pittakas he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Pittakas has a very solid season. In 13 games in Cyprus he scored 11.5ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Baden Jaxen (190-G-90) of Etha - 21 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Tomislav Petrovic (202-F-85) of AEK - 17 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Gerry Blakes (193-G) of Enosis - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Courtney Pigram (185-G-85) of AEK - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Jarvis Ray (198-G-90) of Enosis - 16 points and 7 rebounds
9. Marios Georgiou (201-PF-91) of Apollon - 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Ronald Ross (188-PG-83) of Keravnos - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
