The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nicosia: Keravnos (#1) and ENAD (#3). ENAD was crushed at home by 17 points 34-51 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of ENAD. Keravnos (12-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place. ENAD at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Keravnos are looking forward to face Apollon (#4) in Limassol in the next round. ENAD will play on the road against the league's second-placed AEL Limassol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked AEK (0-13) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to second ranked AEL Limassol (10-3) 98-56. Defending champion maintains second place with 10-3 record having just two points less than leader Keravnos. AEK lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. AEL Limassol will play against ENAD (#3) in Nicosia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. AEK will play at home against APOEL and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Fourth ranked Apollon (7-6) crushed at home 5th ranked APOEL (2-11) by 46 points 72-26, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Apollon maintains fourth place with 7-6 record. APOEL lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Apollon will meet league's leader Keravnos in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. APOEL will play against AEK (#6) in Larnaca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
