  follow us on Facebook Twitter

BC Apollon Limassol (Division A) landed 30-year old American guard Craig Blackmon (193-87, college: Texas Tyler, agency: Octagon Europe). It is actually his comeback to Limassol as he has played here before. Blackmon played most recently at Al Hilal in Saudi Arabian SBL league.
The previous (2016) summer he played at Pioneros Los Mochis in Mexican CIBACOPA where in 9 games he averaged 9.7ppg, 2.9rpg and 3.4apg in 2016 season.
Blackmon played in the final of Eurobasket Summer League in Houston in 2011.
He is a very experienced player. Blackmon has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Blackmon has played previously professionally in Germany (Barmer TV 1846 Wuppertal), Kosovo (Drita) and UBA (Houston E.).
He attended University of Texas at Tyler until 2008 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
Blackmon's game is described as: Craig Blackmon is an aggressive scoring point guard, who adds size, athleticism and accurate decision making to run a team and make his teammates better. Offensive skills and defensive pressure allows him to be effective on both ends of the court. Can shoot the midrange and 3 ball well and spread the defense for a dominant post player or a slashing wing man. Blackmon also has a knack for finding the open player, and he can put up points in bunches. He can score when needed but looks for his teammates more often than most. He has a 7' foot wingspan which allows him to guard multiple position from a PG to SF. Craig Blackmon is a strong point guard and can also play the shooting guard or small forward.

AEK Larnakas beat Keravnos Strovolou on the opening day - 1 day ago
The first derby of the season went to AEK Larnakas who showed (after the super cup triumph) who's going to be the boss this season in the Cyprus league. The final score 84-75 is totally fair as AEK Larnakas had a much better rotation that their opponents, since Coach Leivadiotis for another game this season preferred to go on a very short rotation with just seven players (Anthony King was absent) while the Cyprus Coach used Barker for 38!! Minutes, Parks for 32 and from then and on Abukar...   [read more]
