CEZ Nymburk remained the unprecedented power in the Czech basketball. They swept the title series against Prostejov tonight to celebrate the ninth straight NBL crown. A.J. Abrams (180-G-86, agency: Two Points, college: Texas) scored 14 points to lead Nymburk to the fourth decisive victory in the series. Prostejov entered the game with little hope after three straight losses. But they fought bravely in the opening quarter trailing by just a single point 19:18 after ten minutes. However Nymburk increased the tempo in the second term leaving the hosts behind. The visitors unloaded 34 points in the period to establish a 53:39 halftime lead. Prostejov did not surrender as they cut the distance by five points in the third term. But Nymburk limited the hosts to 11 points in the fourth stanza and rallied to a comfortable victory at the end. Michael Lenzly (189-G-81, college: Wofford) delivered 12 points, while Michal Kremen (200-G/F-81) and Radek Necas (204-F-80) added 11 points apiece in the win. Pavel Slezak (186-G-84) answered with 15 points for Prostejov. Jaromir Bohacik (197-F/G-92) and Jamar Smith (191-SG-87, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: S.Indiana) netted 10 points each in the loss.

Nymburk remained Czech Cup holders. They overcame Decin tonight in the title game to stay with the trophy. Petr Benda (203-F/C-82, agency: Court Side) scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the winners. Decin got to a perfect start to the game. They felt very confident posting a 21:19 lead after ten minutes. Decin did not slow down in the second frame. They maintained the advantage piling up a 38:36 halftime lead. Nymburk finally managed to erase the deficit in the third term. The title defenders pulled ahead for a narrow 50:47 advantage with ten minutes remaining. Nymburk used all of their experience to shield off Decin comeback efforts and earned a tough win at the end. A.J. Abrams (180-G-86, college: Texas) finished with 15 points, while Ladislav Sokolovsky (200-G-77) notched 11 points in the win. Dwight Burke (202-C/F-86, college: Marquette) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Decin. Tomas Pomikalek (200-F-89) had 15 points in the loss.

West wins All Star show in Pardubice. Traiiling after the first half, the winners managed to produced a better second half and grabbed the victory. East dominated the first two quarters and took 49:45 after the first 20 minutes of the game. West however needed a strong second half and after a 7-point success grabbed 92:89 win. Peter Sedmak (207-C-85) of USK Praha (207-C-85) and Vojtech Hruban (202-F-89) of USK Praha (202-F-89) paced all the winners with 15 points each. Pavel Houska (201-F-84) of BK Decin (201-F-84) nailed 14, while Tomas Pomikalek (200-F-89) of BK Decin (200-F-89) scored 12. Rob Lowery (188-G-87) of Levharti Chomutov (188-G-87, college: Dayton) netted 11 and Pavel Pumprla (196-G-86) of CEZ Basketball Nymburk (196-G-86) delivered 10. Travis Peterson (208-C-85) of BK Prostejov (208-C-85, agency: Edge Sports, college: Samford) ended up with 21 points in the losing effort and Keaton Grant (193-G-86) of Astrum Levice (193-G-86, college: Purdue) notched 16. Jamar Smith (191-G-87) of BK Prostejov (191-G-87, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: S.Indiana) posted 15, while Marcus Arnold (207-C/F-84) of BK JIP Pardubice (207-C/F-84, agency: Stanley International, college: Illinois) added 10. Pavel Milos (200-F-79) from Svitavy won Three-Point Shootout, while Corey Muirhead (198-F-83) of BK JIP Pardubice (198-F-83, college: W.Carolina) from Pardubice was the best in Slam Dunk Contest. Vojtech Hruban from USK Praha was named MVPO of the Game.
