Two main favorites for the prize met in Saturdays final game of the Final Six tournament for Czech Cup as fans in Strakonice enjoyed a heavy weight fight between Frisco Sika Brno and ZVVZ USK Praha. The main event of the evening started well for the team from Praha as they shot the lights out in the first quarter converting 9/12 from the field and 4/5 from the line but committed also 8 turnovers and let Brno to stay in the game. An 8 point lead (23:15) after first ten minutes grew constantly in the next period as Katerina Elhotova (180-SG-89) and her teammates took control of the game and built a huge lead at the break: 49:31.
Frisco Sika Brno never came back into the game as ZVVZ USK Praha dominated the second half from the first minute and ended with a 33 point lead (77:44) after three. Already decided game was finished with the final score 92:63 as bench players earned some time one the floor for both teams.
Katerina Elhotova led the way for winners with 18 points. She was supported by Ilona Burgrova (196-C-84, college: S.Carolina) and Petra Kulichova (198-C-84) who netted 16 points each. Farhiya Abdi (188-F-92) and Tereza Peckova (189-F-87) were best players for Frisco Sika Brno with 14 points a piece; Jasmine Thomas (175-G-89, college: Duke) added 13.

Earlier in the afternoon Sokol VCP Hradec Kralove secured third place in the tournament by defeating VS Praha 75:60 (17:10, 22:20, 19:20).

Mithra Castors Braine (Top Division Women) tabbed 26-year old Czech center Renata Brezinova (190-90, agency: LBM Management). She played most recently at Lavezzini Parma in Italian Serie A1.
