Sixth-ranked BK Prostejov (5-5) used its home court advantage to challenge leader CEZ Nymburk (10-0) on Saturday. The visitors from Nymburk managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BK Prostejov. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 22-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. CEZ Nymburk made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Slovakian power forward Radoslav Rancik (207-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Jiri Welsch (199-80) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. CEZ Nymburk's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Austin Dufault (205-90, college: Colorado) answered with 19 points for BK Prostejov. Undefeated CEZ Nymburk have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-0 record. BK Prostejov at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. CEZ Nymburk are looking forward to face Levharti Chomutov (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BK Prostejov will play against USK Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked BC Kolin (6-4) against eleventh ranked Levharti Chomutov (3-6) on Sunday night. Visiting BC Kolin was defeated by Levharti Chomutov in a tough game in Chomutov 84-88. It was a great evening for American forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Pavel Bosak helped adding 22 points and 4 assists. American guard Demarius Bolds (190-84, college: Missouri Western, agency: I.D.S. Law) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. BC Kolin's coach Predrag Benacek tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Levharti Chomutov moved-up to ninth place. BC Kolin at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with USK Praha. Levharti Chomutov will play against higher ranked BK Pardubice (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Kolin will play against Basketbal Svitavy and hopes to get back on the winning track.

It was an exceptional evening for Corey Muirhead who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. BK Pardubice's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Boris Meno came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds for USK Praha in the defeat. BK Pardubice moved-up to seventh place. Loser USK Praha dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with BC Kolin. BK Pardubice will meet Levharti Chomutov (#9) on the road in the next round. USK Praha will play against BK Prostejov (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best player for the winners was Ladislav Horak who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Levice's coach Peter Balint let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BK Usti nad Labem (3-8) moved-up to eleventh place. Levice at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. BK Usti nad Labem's next round opponent will be B&W Opava (#12) at home.

Lubos Stria orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Decin moved-up to third place. Loser Basketbal Svitavy dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. BK Decin will face Levice (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Basketbal Svitavy will play against BC Kolin.

In the last two games of round 11 NH Ostrava beat B&W Opava on the road 92-75. Bottom-ranked Usti n/Labem lost to BK Decin on its own court 74-85.
The most impressive performance of 11th round was 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds by Brad Reese of Usti n/Labem.


Levice - Usti n/Labem 77-80

Bottom-ranked BK Usti nad Labem managed to get a third victory. This time they edged seventh-ranked Levice 80-77. Levice was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 35-30 second half run of BK Usti nad Labem. Strangely Levice outrebounded BK Usti nad Labem 43-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Levice helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was power forward Ladislav Horak (205-86) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Antonin Pistecky (195-84) chipped in 5 points and 9 rebounds. Slovenian center Salih Nuhanovic (208-82) produced 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and Slovakian swingman Martin Sykora (192-81) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Levice's coach Peter Balint let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BK Usti nad Labem (3-8) moved-up to eleventh place. Levice at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. BK Usti nad Labem's next round opponent will be B&W Opava (#12) at home.

They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. NH Ostrava looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Rahsaan Ames (184-78, college: Shaw) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Martin Gniadek (201-90) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. NH Ostrava's coach Dusan Medvecky used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Jakub Blazek (203-80) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ladislav Toth (196-83) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for B&W Opava. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for NH Ostrava. They maintain second place with 10-1 record having just -1 point less than leader CEZ Nymburk. B&W Opava lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. NH Ostrava will have a break next round. B&W Opava will play on the road against BK Usti nad Labem (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very expected game when 13th ranked BK Usti nad Labem (3-8) lost at home to fifth ranked BK Decin (6-3) 85-74 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by BK Decin. BK Usti nad Labem was better in third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Decin made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American guard Patrick Pope (183-81, college: St.Augustine) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Slovakian center Peter Sedmak (207-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four BK Decin players scored in double figures.
