We bring you last week's top performances from Czechs who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91, currently plays in Eurocup). He led his Spanish team Cajasol to a victory over the closely-ranked Entente Orleans 45 (1-3) 70-56 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Satoransky was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points and added 4 assists in 29 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla (2-2) is placed second in the Eurocup. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Satoransky has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.7ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.3apg, 2.0spg, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 84.6% in the three games he played so far. Satoransky is currently a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Pavel Pumprla (198-86, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help Blusens Monbus (5-4) to beat G.Canaria 2014 (7-2). Pumprla scored 6 points. Blusens Monbus was edged 78-76 on the road by the second-ranked G.Canaria 2014. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Pumprla's overall stats this year are: 5.2ppg, 2.3rpg and FT: 83.3%. He is in the roster of the Czech Republic senior national team.

David Jelinek

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard David Jelinek (194-90, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. Jelinek was not able to help Olin Edirne (2-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance Olin Edirne lost 66-72 at home to the second-ranked Anadolu Efes. Jelinek recorded 13 points in 28 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Jelinek has relatively good stats this year: 13.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.3apg, 2FGP: 48.0%, 3FGP: 36.0% and FT: 82.6% in the seven games. He is also a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #4. Forward Jan Vesely (211-90, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Washington Wizards (0-12) in their game against the Indiana Pacers (7-8) in the NBA. Vesely scored 5 points. The Washington Wizards were defeated 96-89 in Indianapolis by the Indiana Pacers. So far Wizards lost all twelve games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Vesely's overall stats this season are: 2.4ppg and 2.4rpg. He used to play for the Czech Republic national team back in 2010.

International center Tomas Hampl (215-88, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help River Andorra (3-0) in their game against Palencia Baloncesto (6-2) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division), despite his good performance last Friday. Hampl scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. Buthis team lost 81-87 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#3) Palencia_Baloncesto. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. It's Hampl's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 9.3ppg and 5.1rpg in the eight games. Hampl plays currently for the Czech Republic national team.

   #6. An experienced center Ondrej Starosta (215-79, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Planasa NV (3-5) in their game against Ford Burgos (6-2) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Despite his good performance last Friday He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Starosta is ranked first on the list of the best rebounders in the league. He has very reliable stats this season: 14.5ppg, 9.9rpg and 1.4apg. Starosta is a former international player as he played for the Czech Republic senior team four years ago.

   #7. U18 international small forward Jan Svandrlik (196-94, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a Clinicas Rincon's victory against the closely-ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (4-3) 71-60 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night. He recorded 9 points in 18 minutes. CB Clinicas Rincon (5-2) is placed second in the LEB Silver. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Svandrlik's total stats are: 4.2ppg and 1.5rpg in the six games. He is also Czech Republic U18 national team player.

   #8. Swingman Tomas Kyzlink (197-93, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Caceres Basket (3-5) in their game against FCB Regal II (5-3) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Kyzlink scored only 2 points. Caceres Basket was defeated 92-83 in Barcelona by the higher-ranked FCB Regal II (#7). Kyzlink has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.3rpg. He plays currently for the Czech Republic U20 national team.

   #9. University international forward Patrik Auda (206-89, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Seton Hall win their game against the University of Maine crushing them 76-49 in the NCAA in Wednesday night's game. Auda recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in only 14 minutes. The Seton Hall University has conference record this season. Auda has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.3rpg in the three games. He used to play for the Czech Republic university national team last year.


The list of other players, who all have Czech Republic passport but never been selected to any of Czech Republic national teams:

   #1. Robert Skibniewski (183-PG-83, currently plays in Poland) managed to help AZS Koszalin to win against the league outsider Rosa Radom (2-8) 97-91 in the Polish TBL on Saturday night. He scored 5 points. AZS Koszalin (6-3) is placed fourth in the TBL. Skibniewski belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #6. His total stats this season are: 8.0ppg, 2.2rpg, 5.1apg and 1.3spg.

   #2. Jan Kratochvil (200-F-82, currently plays in Slovakia) led Komarno to a victory against the sixth-ranked Prievidza (4-5) 81-71 in the Slovakian Extraliga in Wednesday night's game. Kratochvil recorded 11 points and blocked 2 shots in 24 minutes. MBK Rieker Komarno (7-2) is placed second in the Extraliga. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. This year Kratochvil's total stats are: 5.9ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.6apg in the nine games he played so far.

   #3. Tomas Bruha (213-C-88, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the Tulane to beat the University of Nebraska. Bruha recorded 5 points. The Tulane was defeated 61-57 on the road by the University of Nebraska. Bruha has averaged so far 4.2ppg and 1.5rpg.

   #4. Pavel Englicky (210-F/C-83, currently plays in EuroChallenge) was not able to help Etha (0-4) in their game against Krka (2-2) in the EuroChallenge. He cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. Englicky recorded only 2 points in 9 minutes on the court. The fourth-placed Etha lost 59-74 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Krka in the group A of EuroChallenge. So far Etha lost all four games in the Regular Season. There are only two games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Englicky has averaged so far 2.8ppg and 2.5rpg in the four games.

JL Bourg Basket (ProB) signed 24-year old Czech international shooting guard Tomas Kyzlink (195-80kg-93). He started the season at Helios in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. In 22 games he had 11.2ppg, 3.6rpg and 2.2apg this season. Kyzlink helped them to make it to the Supercup final. He also played 14 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 14.4ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.1apg. The last season Kyzlink played at Blu Basket Gruppo Remer Treviglio in Italian Serie A. Talented International Center Martin Peterka (205-C-95) had a great game in the last round for Nymburk B and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage). The 21-year old center had a double-double of 29 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team crushed Zlin (4-4) with 23-point margin 78-55. The game was between two of the league's top four teams.
