We bring you last week's top performances from Czechs who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

David Jelinek
David Jelinek
#1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard David Jelinek (194-90, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. Jelinek could not help Olin Edirne (2-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Olin Edirne was edged 81-78 on the road by the higher-ranked Turk Telekom (#9). Jelinek scored 17 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 7 assists. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Jelinek's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 14.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.9apg, 2FGP: 46.9%, 3FGP: 35.7% and FT: 82.8%. Jelinek is currently a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

Tomas Satoransky
Tomas Satoransky
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. Satoransky was not able to help Cajasol (1-9) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance Cajasol was defeated 78-64 in Barcelona by the much higher-ranked Regal FC (#6). Satoransky recorded 13 points. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Satoransky's first year with the team. This season he has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.9apg, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 73.7%. Satoransky is in the roster of the Czech Republic senior national team.

Ondrej Starosta
Ondrej Starosta
#3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international center Ondrej Starosta (215-79, currently plays in Spain). He was not able to secure a victory for Planasa NV (3-6) in their game against Lobe Huesca (3-6) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Starosta scored 9 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks. But Planasa NV was defeated 68-59 at home by the lower-ranked Lobe_Huesca (#12). It was Planasa NV's fourth consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Starosta is the league's best rebounder. He has very reliable stats this season: 13.9ppg, 9.2rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 52.5%. Starosta played for the Czech Republic national team four years ago.

Ondrej Balvin
Ondrej Balvin
#4. Center Ondrej Balvin (216-92, currently plays in Eurocup) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tomas Satoransky. But that was another game of his team in Eurocup which we would like to mention. Balvin managed to help Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla in a victory against the closely-ranked Entente Orleans 45 (1-3) 84-78. He recorded only 2 points in 8 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla (2-2) is placed second in the Eurocup. This year Balvin averages: 2.7ppg and 3.0rpg in the three games he played so far. He is also Czech Republic national team player.

Tomas Hampl
Tomas Hampl
#5. International center Tomas Hampl (215-88, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a 2-point River Andorra's victory against the 11th-ranked Caceres Basket (3-6) 71-69 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game. Hampl scored only 2 points and blocked 2 blocks. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Hampl belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #3. His overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.1bpg. Hampl plays currently for the Czech Republic national team.

The list of other players, who all have Czech Republic passport but never been selected to any of Czech Republic national teams:

#1. David Steffel (212-C/F-85, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in Rovinari's victory against the closely-ranked CSM Bucuresti (7-3) 96-88 in the Romanian Division A in Friday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds in 38 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (7-3) is placed fourth in the Division A. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Steffel is the league's best rebounder with 9.6rpg. He also averaged so far 15.9ppg, 1.6apg and 1.4spg in the 10 games he played so far.

#2. Robert Skibniewski (183-PG-83, currently plays in Poland) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Energa Czarni (7-4) 83-67 in the Polish TBL on Sunday night. He recorded 9 points and added 6 passes in 27 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. AZS Koszalin (7-3) is placed second in the TBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Skibniewski's first season with the team. Skibniewski is currently fifth on the list of best passers with 5.2apg. This year his other stats are: 8.1ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.2spg in the 10 games.

This year Kratochvil averages: 5.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.6apg in the 10 games.

#4. Tomas Bruha (213-C-88, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to Tulane's victory against the Loyola, LA (3-6) 69-57 in a derby game in the NCAA in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in only 13 minutes. The Tulane University has conference record this season. Bruha has reliable stats this year: 13.9ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.3apg in the nine games.

#5. Pavel Englicky (210-F/C-83, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Cyprus could not help the league outsider Etha (0-5) to beat Tofas (3-2). He scored 6 points. The fourth-placed Etha was crushed 87-54 on the road by the second-ranked Tofas in the group A of EuroChallenge. So far Etha lost all five games in the Regular Season. Englicky's team will play only one more game in the EuroChallenge Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Englicky's overall stats this season are: 3.4ppg and 2.4rpg.

#6. Ivo Hoger (225-C-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Georgia) managed to help Olimpi Tbilisi in a victory against the closely-ranked Dinamo Tbilisi 84-79 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague last Saturday.
