Riding their first winning streak of the season art two games, BK Lions Jindrichuv Hradec (4-11) were hit with unfortunate news that they will be without guard Jiri Kysela (189-G-90) for the remainder of the season after the player suffered torn ligaments in his knee during last week's home victory over BC Kolin. The 22-year old Kysela was averaging 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals on the season. After unsuccessfully searching the domestic market for a replacement guard, the club looked abroad and came to terms with rookie American guard Roderick Pearson (187-PG-88) for the rest of this season. Pearson, 24, is coming off of his senior season at Oral Roberts University where he averaged 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals while helping lead the Golden Eagles to a Summit League Regular Season Championship. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Pearson began his career at Southeast Missouri State prior to transferring to ORU after his sophomore season. If everything goes according to plan with Pearson's clearance paperwork, he should be available for tomorrow's home clash with USK Praha (6-10) as the Lions look to extend their win streak to three games.
