Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Czechs who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Pavel Pumprla (198-86, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in a Blusens Monbus' victory against the closely-ranked Regal FC Barcelona (7-7) 62-54 in the Spanish ACB in Wednesday night's game. Pumprla recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 37 minutes on the court. Blusens Monbus Obradoiro CAB (7-7) is placed 11th in the ACB. This year Pumprla averages: 5.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 53.1% and FT: 77.3% in the 14 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. Satoransky could not help Cajasol (3-11) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance Cajasol was edged 84-82 on the road by the much higher-ranked FIATC Joventut (#9). Satoransky recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Satoransky belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #6. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.4ppg, 3.8rpg, 3.9apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 50.5%, 3FGP: 32.3% and FT: 72.5%. Satoransky is in the roster of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Jan Vesely (211-90, currently plays in NBA). Vesely was not able to help the Washington Wizards (3-22) in their game against the Detroit Pistons (9-21) in the NBA. He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Washington Wizards were defeated 96-87 in Detroit by the Pistons. It was Wizards' seventh consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Vesely's overall stats this year are: 2.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 2FGP: 40.4% and FT: 26.3%. He played for the Czech Republic national team two years ago.

   #4. Shooting guard David Jelinek (194-90, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Olin Edirne (3-9) in their game against Mersin (5-5) in the Turkish TBL, despite his good performance in Thursday night's game. He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Jelinek also added 4 rebounds in 36 minutes. But Olin Edirne lost 62-74 at home to the higher-ranked (#7) Mersin. It was Olin Edirne's third consecutive loss in a row. Jelinek has relatively good stats this year: 13.2ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.8apg in the 12 games. He is also Czech Republic national team player.

   #5. An experienced former international center Ondrej Starosta (215-79, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Planasa NV (5-7) in their game against Melilla Baloncesto (3-9) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division), despite his good performance on Friday night. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds in 39 minutes. But Planasa NV lost 73-88 on the opponent's court to the one of league's weakest teams (#13) Melilla_Baloncesto. Starosta is currently first on the list of best rebounders with 10.0rpg. This year his other stats are: 13.8ppg and 1.3apg in the 12 games. Starosta used to play for the Czech Republic national team four years ago.

   #6. Center Tomas Hampl (215-88, currently plays in Spain) managed to help B.C. River Andorra in a victory against the ninth-ranked Lleida Basquet (5-7) 76-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. Hampl scored only 4 points in 12 minutes. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. It's Hampl's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 7.0ppg and 4.3rpg in the 12 games. Hampl is an international player who is currently on the senior Czech Republic National Team roster.


The list of other players, who all have Czech Republic passport but never been selected to any of Czech Republic national teams:

   #1. Robert Skibniewski (183-PG-83, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL could not help AZS Koszalin (8-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance AZS Koszalin was edged 66-64 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Asseco Prokom Gdynia. Skibniewski was the second best scorer with 10 points. He also added 4 assists in 26 minutes. Skibniewski is ranked seventh on the list of the best passers in the league with 4.5apg. This year his other stats are: 8.7ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.1spg in the 13 games he played so far.

   #2. David Steffel (212-C/F-85, currently plays in Romania) was not able to help Rovinari (8-7) in their game against Pitesti (7-8) in the Romanian Division A, despite his very good performance last Wednesday. Steffel was the top scorer with 16 points. He also added 8 rebounds in 32 minutes. But Rovinari lost 75-84 at home to the lower-ranked (#11) Pitesti. It was Rovinari's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Steffel's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Steffel is the league's best rebounder with 9.8rpg. This year he also averages: 15.0ppg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg in the 15 games.

   #3. Jan Kratochvil (200-F-82, currently plays in Slovakia) led Komarno to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Handlova (4-11) 92-78 in the Slovakian Extraliga on Wednesday night. Kratochvil scored 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. MBK Rieker Komarno (13-2) is placed first in the Extraliga. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Kratochvil's overall stats this season are: 6.4ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.3apg.

   #4. Ivo Hoger (225-C-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Georgia) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider STU (0-10) crushing them 96-75 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague last Wednesday. Hoger recorded 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Olimpi Tbilisi (8-2) is placed third in the Superleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Hoger's overall stats this season are: 5.0ppg and 2.5rpg.

   #5. Jaroslav Tyrna (207-F/C-86, college: New Orleans, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for USC Leipzig (3-12) in their game against Crailsheim Merlins (5-10) in the German ProA (second division). Despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Tyrna also added 4 rebounds. It was his first game for USC Leipzig this season.

   #6. Tomas Bruha (213-C-88, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help Tulane University to win against the Pepperdine University 69-54 in the NCAA on Thursday night. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Bruha's total stats this season are: 7.0ppg and 4.3rpg.

FINAL BK Decin - CEZ Nymburk 71-82 CEZ Nymburk overcame BK Decin to take 1-0 lead in the Finals. Cuban forward Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Brett Roseboro(208-F/C-91, college: UMBC, agency: Inception Sports) has agreed on terms of contract extension with Svitavy. The power forward has penned a new deal for the next season. Brett Roseboro joined the team at the start of the season. He tallied 10.5 points, 5.9 rebounds per game in the Czech NBL.
