Undefeated CEZ Nymburk (17-1) recorded its first loss on the court of sixth ranked BK Decin on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by BK Decin 80-78. It ended at the same time the 17-game winning streak of CEZ Nymburk. CEZ Nymburk was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 15-11 charge of BK Decin, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Levell Sanders (189-75, college: Seton Hall) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Patrick Pope (183-81, college: St.Augustine) chipped in 17 points. Slovakian power forward Radoslav Rancik (207-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) produced 17 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BK Decin maintains sixth place with 9-8 record. Defending champion CEZ Nymburk still keeps top position with one game lost. BK Decin are looking forward to face USK Praha (#9) on the road in the next round. CEZ Nymburk will play against Levice (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
Another exciting game was between seventh ranked Levice and 4th placed BC Kolin where host Levice (9-9) won against BC Kolin (11-8) 74-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BC Kolin. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian center Salih Nuhanovic (208-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Brandon Fields contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Levice's coach Oleg Meleschenko allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Richard Field (196-85, college: Mercyhurst) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for BC Kolin. Levice have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 9-9 record. BC Kolin at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Levice will play against league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Kolin will play against B&W Opava (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Opava between Levharti Chomutov and B&W Opava. Eighth ranked Levharti Chomutov (8-11) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked B&W Opava (6-12). Levharti Chomutov managed to escape with a 2-point win 82-80 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for John Fields who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. At the losing side Ladislav Sokolovsky responded with 31 points. Levharti Chomutov maintains eighth place with 8-11 record, which they share with USK Praha. B&W Opava lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Svitavy. Levharti Chomutov will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. B&W Opava will play against BC Kolin (#5) and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 19 J.Hradec was defeated by NH Ostrava in a road game 87-76. BK Pardubice beat Svitavy at home 95-86.


Usti n/Labem - USK Praha 69-82

The game with biggest result difference took place in Usti nad Labem. Local BK Usti nad Labem (3-15) lost to ninth ranked USK Praha (8-11) 82-69. BK Usti nad Labem was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 44-28 second half run of USK Praha. It was a quality performance for Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson, agency: Two Points) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 18 rebounds. The former international center Stanislav Votroubek (212-81) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. American forward Brad Reese (199-88, college: Texas Tech) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Antonin Pistecky (195-84) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for BK Usti nad Labem in the defeat. Four BK Usti nad Labem players scored in double figures. BK Usti nad Labem's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. NH Ostrava - J.Hradec 87-76

There was no surprise when 12th ranked BK Lions Hradec (5-13) was defeated on the road by second ranked NH Ostrava (14-5) 87-76. The game was mostly controlled by NH Ostrava. BK Lions Hradec was better in fourth quarter 31-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. NH Ostrava made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Justin Greene (203-89, college: Kent St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Rahsaan Ames (184-78, college: Shaw) accounted for 15 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Four NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. Center Jan Tomanec (205-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Jan Pavlik (186-78, agency: Court Side) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for BK Lions Hradec in the defeat.
