Here is the weekly review of the top performing Czech Republic players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international shooting guard Pavel Pumprla (198-86, currently plays in Spain). He led Blusens Monbus to a victory over the league outsider Lagun Aro GBC (2-13) 71-60 in the Spanish ACB in Saturday night's game. Pumprla was MVP of the game. He scored 15 points and blocked 2 blocks (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 28 minutes on the court. Blusens Monbus Obradoiro CAB (8-7) is placed eighth in the ACB. This year Pumprla averages: 6.4ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 56.4%(31-55) and FT: 81.5% in the 15 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91, currently plays in Spain). Satoransky contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Blancos de Rueda (6-9) crushing them 94-57 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. He scored 11 points and added 3 assists. Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla (4-11) is placed 16th in the ACB. Satoransky is currently fifth on the list of best passers. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.9apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 48.7%, 3FGP: 31.4% and FT: 73.6%. Satoransky is in the roster of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Jan Vesely (211-90, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Washington Wizards (4-25) to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers (7-25). It was not Vesely's best game last Wednesday. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 21 minutes. The Washington Wizards were edged 87-84 on the road by the Cavaliers. This year Vesely's overall stats are: 2.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 42.3% and FT: 23.8% in the 21 games. He played for the Czech Republic national team three years ago.

   #4. Shooting guard David Jelinek (194-90, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Olin Edirne (3-10) in their game against Karsiyaka (10-3) in the Turkish TBL. He recorded 7 points and added 3 assists in 22 minutes. Olin Edirne lost 70-82 on the opponent's court to the much higher-ranked (#4) Karsiyaka. It was Olin Edirne's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Jelinek has relatively good stats this year: 12.7ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.8apg in the 13 games. He is also Czech Republic national team player.

Former international center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, agency: Two Points, college: Iowa St., currently plays in Italy) managed to help Umana Reyer Venezia to win against the third-ranked Montepaschi Siena (10-3) 65-63 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. Hubalek recorded only 2 points. Umana Reyer Venezia (6-7) is placed eighth in the SerieA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Hubalek averages just 1.0ppg. He used to play for the Czech Republic national team four years ago.

   #1. Jan Kratochvil (200-F-82, currently plays in Slovakia) led Komarno to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Nova Ves (11-7) 90-73 in the Slovakian Extraliga in Saturday night's game. Kratochvil scored 12 points and blocked 2 shots. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. MBK Rieker Komarno (14-3) is placed first in the Extraliga. Kratochvil's total stats this season are: 6.9ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.3apg.

   #2. Tomas Bruha (213-C-88, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help Tulane University in a 3-point victoryagainst the The University of Alabama 53-50 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game. Bruha scored only 2 points in 9 minutes on the court. The Tulane University has conference record this season. This year Bruha averages just 1.0ppg in the two games he played so far.

CEZ Basketball Nymburk (NBL) signed 23-year old American guard Kendrick Ray (188-85kg-94, agency: Pensack Sports). He just graduated from Kennesaw State University (NCAA). Ray has played there for the last three years. In 31 games he had very impressive stats: 21.2ppg, 3.7rpg and 3.1apg last season. Ray helped them to make it to the semifinals. Turi Svitavy (NBL) landed power forward Kovar Lubos (202). He played most recently at the junior team of Loko Plzen in the 1Liga. The young forward is a bright star amongst the Czech junior ranks and will look to continue his development with Svitavy, while adding valuable experience in the KNBL. BK JIP Pardubice (NBL) agreed terms with 28-year old American forward Scott Martin (203-99kg-88, college: Notre Dame, agency: HMS). Martin has spent the past four seasons playing in the British BBL with Newcastle Eagles Esh Group.
