The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with extra overtimes and favorites losing the games.

The most important game in the last round took place in Svitavy between second ranked NH Ostrava (14-6) and eleventh ranked Basketbal Svitavy (7-12) on Thursday night. NH Ostrava was defeated by Basketbal Svitavy on the road 75-88. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Basketbal Svitavy's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-15 extending their advantage to 13 points. Basketbal Svitavy outrebounded NH Ostrava 45-24 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jiri Jelinek (203-87) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Basketbal Svitavy's coach Lubomir Ruzicka used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Rahsaan Ames (184-78, college: Shaw) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists for NH Ostrava. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to tenth place. NH Ostrava at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Basketbal Svitavy are looking forward to face higher ranked BK Prostejov (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. NH Ostrava will play against BK Usti nad Labem and is hoping to win this game.
NBL top team - CEZ Nymburk (18-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Levice (9-10) 77-63. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Levice. Worth to mention a quality performance of Slovakian power forward Radoslav Rancik (207-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 9 rebounds and Petr Benda who added 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American forward Jeremy Simmons (204-89, college: Charleston, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-1 record. Levice at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. CEZ Nymburk will play against B&W Opava (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Levice will play against USK Praha (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
BK Usti nad Labem (#13) forced the game against BK Lions Hradec (#12) into an overtime, but lost by four points 81-85 on Thursday night. The winners were led by Jan Tomanec who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. BK Lions Hradec's coach Karel Forejt allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Brad Reese did not help to save the game for BK Usti nad Labem. BK Lions Hradec (6-13) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with B&W Opava. BK Usti nad Labem lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. BK Lions Hradec will meet higher ranked BK Decin (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BK Usti nad Labem will play against the league's second-placed NH Ostrava (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
The game in Prostejov was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked BK Pardubice (12-6) played at the court of 5th ranked BK Prostejov (11-8). BK Pardubice managed to secure a 9-point victory 75-66. The best player for the winners was Evaldas Zabas who scored 20 points. BK Pardubice's coach Jan Slowiak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. BK Pardubice have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. BK Prostejov at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. BK Pardubice's next round opponent will be Levharti Chomutov (#8) at home where they are favorite. BK Prostejov will play against Basketbal Svitavy.
The game between fifth ranked BC Kolin (12-8) and 10th ranked B&W Opava (6-13) in Kolin on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. BC Kolin outscored guests from Opava 98-77. Demarius Bolds orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Kolin moved-up to fourth place. B&W Opava lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. BC Kolin will have a break next round. B&W Opava will play at home against the league's leader CEZ Nymburk (#1).

In the last game of round 20 BK Decin beat USK Praha on the road 66-59.


BK Prostejov - BK Pardubice 66-75

The game in Prostejov was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked BK Pardubice (12-6) played at the court of 5th ranked BK Prostejov (11-8). BK Pardubice managed to secure a 9-point victory 75-66. BK Prostejov was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. BK Pardubice forced 19 BK Prostejov turnovers. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) who scored 20 points. Canadian-Jamaican forward Corey Muirhead (197-83, college: W.Carolina) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. BK Pardubice's coach Jan Slowiak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Austin Dufault (205-90, college: Colorado) produced 14 points and 9 rebounds and international Kamil Svrdlik (206-86, college: Fair Dickinson) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. BK Pardubice have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. BK Prostejov at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. BK Pardubice's next round opponent will be Levharti Chomutov (#8) at home where they are favorite. BK Prostejov will play against Basketbal Svitavy.

The game between fifth ranked BC Kolin (12-8) and 10th ranked B&W Opava (6-13) in Kolin on Thursday ended with biggest points difference. BC Kolin outscored guests from Opava 98-77. The game was mostly controlled by BC Kolin. B&W Opava was better in fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Kolin dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to B&W Opava's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Demarius Bolds (190-84, college: Missouri Western, agency: I.D.S. Law) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward David Machac (205-80) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Bolds is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four BC Kolin players scored in double figures. USK Praha was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Bosnian forward Admir Alic (197-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. American guard Levell Sanders (189-75, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 14 points for the winners. BK Decin's coach Pavel Budinsky used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
