We bring you last week's top performances from Czechs who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international forward Jan Vesely (211-90, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to a 2-point Washington Wizards' victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder (26-8) 101-99 in the NBA in Monday night's game. Vesely scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. The Washington Wizards have rather weak 5-28 record this season. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. This year Vesely averages: 2.7ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 49.2% and FT: 24.0% in the 25 games he played so far. He played for the Czech Republic senior national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international center Ondrej Starosta (215-79, currently plays in Spain). Starosta led Planasa NV to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Ourense (1-6) 85-83 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Starosta recorded 25 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks. Planasa Navarra (6-7) is placed eighth in the LEB Gold. Starosta belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #6) and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has very reliable stats this season: 14.7ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 56.2%(82-146) and FT: 45.0%. Starosta played for the Czech Republic national team in 2008.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Pavel Pumprla (198-86, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Blancos de Rueda (6-10) crushing them 89-56 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. Pumprla recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes. Blusens Monbus Obradoiro CAB (9-7) is placed seventh in the ACB. It's Pumprla's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 6.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 55.7%(34-61) and FT: 81.5% in the 16 games. Pumprla is also a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #4. Point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Cajasol's victory against one of league's weakest teams Assignia Manresa (2-14) 67-60 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. He recorded 9 points and added 3 passes. Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla (5-11) is placed 15th in the ACB. Satoransky is ranked seventh on the list of the best passers in the league. This season he has very good stats: 12.1ppg, 3.5rpg, 3.8apg and 1.2spg. Satoransky is also Czech Republic national team player.

   #5. International center Ondrej Balvin (216-92, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tomas Satoransky and both played together in the last Spanish ACB game. Balvin managed to help Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla to win against one of league's weakest teams Assignia Manresa (2-14) 67-60. He recorded only 4 points. Balvin's total stats this season are: 2.1ppg and 1.8rpg. He plays currently for the Czech Republic national team.

   #6. Shooting guard David Jelinek (194-90, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL could not help Olin Edirne (3-11) to beat Tofas (6-8). Jelinek scored 8 points and added 3 passes in 30 minutes. Olin Edirne was edged 73-72 at home by the higher-ranked (#9) Tofas. It was Olin Edirne's fifth consecutive loss in a row. Jelinek has relatively good stats this year: 12.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.8apg in the 14 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Czech Republic National Team roster.

U18 international small forward Jan Svandrlik (196-94, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a Clinicas Rincon's victory against the ninth-ranked Cafes Aitona (4-7) crushing them 88-56 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday. Svandrlik scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. CB Clinicas Rincon (7-4) is placed fourth in the LEB Silver. Svandrlik's total stats this season are: 3.6ppg and 1.5rpg. He is also Czech Republic U18 national team player.

   #8. Center Tomas Hampl (215-88, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help River Andorra (3-0) in their game against Ford Burgos (11-2) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He recorded only 4 points. his team was defeated 86-75 on the road by the leading Ford_Burgos. Hampl's total stats this season are: 6.8ppg and 4.0rpg. He plays currently for the Czech Republic national team.

Robert Skibniewski (183-PG-83, currently plays in Poland) contributed to an AZS Koszalin's victory against one of league's weakest teams Start Gdynia (4-11) 68-63 in the Polish TBL last Sunday. He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 30 minutes. AZS Koszalin (9-6) is placed fifth in the TBL. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Skibniewski is ranked seventh on the list of the best passers in the league with 4.1apg. This year he also averages: 8.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.1spg in the 15 games he played so far.

   #2. Jan Kratochvil (200-F-82, currently plays in Slovakia), who plays in the Slovakian Extraliga could not help Komarno (14-4) to beat Levice (1-15). Kratochvil scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. The league leader Komarno was badly defeated 72-55 on the road by the much lower-ranked (#10) Levice. This year Kratochvil's total stats are: 7.0ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2apg in the 17 games.

   #3. Jaroslav Tyrna (207-F/C-86, college: New Orleans, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help USC Leipzig (3-13) in their game against Oettinger Rockets Gotha (6-10) in the German ProA (second division). Tyrna cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 25 minutes. The bottom-ranked USC Leipzig lost 67-81 in Gotha to the higher-ranked (#11) Oettinger Rockets. It was USC Leipzig's fifth consecutive loss in a row. This year Tyrna's total stats are: 9.0ppg and 8.0rpg in the two games.

   #4. Jaromir Fohler (211-C-85, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Lan Mobel Iraurgi Saski Baloia to win against the seventh-ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (5-6) 84-73 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Sunday night. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Lan Mobel Iraurgi Saski Baloia (1-0) is placed in the LEB Silver. Fohler's total stats this season are: 1.3ppg and 1.7rpg.

   #5. Tomas Bruha (213-C-88, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to Tulane's victory against the Wofford College (0-1) 62-48 in the NCAA in Friday night's game. He recorded only 3 points in 15 minutes. The Tulane University has conference record this season. This year Bruha's total stats are: 1.3ppg and 1.7rpg in the 11 games.

NBL Round 7: No surprise as #1 CEZ Nymburk defeats BK Opava - 10 hours ago

NBL top team - CEZ Nymburk (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked BK Opava (4-3) 89-71. CEZ Nymburk made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Cuba forward Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. After he break record last season in Bosnia and Herzegovina by all-time assistant in one game (14), Edi Sinadinovic (193-PG-88) proved us that he can be true leader and scorer of his team. Swingman Jan Streba (195-F/G-95) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for USK Praha B, receiving a 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 3. The 21-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Sokol Prazky (#4, 1-2) with 19-point margin 84-65.
