The Regular Season in ZBL is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Praha: USK Praha (#1) and VSE Praha (#5). VSE Praha was defeated at home 90-102 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by USK Praha. VSE Praha managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. USK Praha outrebounded VSE Praha 35-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. 26 personal fouls committed by VSE Praha helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American center Kia Vaughn (193-87, college: Rutgers) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds. Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Baendu Lowenthal (183-88, college: Fairfield) who recorded 22 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-1 record. VSE Praha at the other side dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. USK Praha are looking forward to face Kara Trutnov (#4) at home in the next round. VSE Praha will play against the league's second-placed IMOS Brno and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Brno. Local Valosun Brno (8-9) outscored 12th ranked BK Pliska Studanka (2-16) 81-42. It was a good game for American center Amber Sprague (196-86, college: San Diego) who led her team to a victory with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Aleksandra Chomac contributed with 10 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Valosun Brno's coach Marian Svoboda felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
