USK Praha - Novi Zagreb 91:88

USK Praha survive Novi Zagreb challenge and managed to beat them 91:88 at home. The Czech team grabbed a 4-6 record in Group C after a 91:88 vcitory.
The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-19. But Lupa Promotion won second period 28-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when USK Praha won last quarter 22-20. It was a great evening for Kia Vaughn (193-C-87, college: Rutgers) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Ilona Burgrova (194-C-84, college: S.Carolina) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. Latoya Williams (190-C-87, college: Chipola JC) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and Sandra Mandir (177-G-77) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Defending Czech champion moved-up to fourth place in Group C, which they share with CCC Polkowice. Lupa Promotion lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost.

China overcame Czech Republic at Four Nations Tournament - May 21, 2016

China overcame Czech Republic at the Four Nations Tournament in China. The Asian team posted an easy 71:49 win, while they also celebrated a 71:54 win few days ago. China won the opening period 15-12 and led by 8 points at the halftime. They increased the lead to 53-38 at the end of thirty minutes leaving no chances for the European squad. New Zealand - Czech Republic 72:64 New Zealand earned the first victory at the Four Nations friendly tournament in China. They beat Czech Republic for 1-2 record. Antonia Edmondson (181-F-87) posted 16 points to lead the winners. The Tall Ferns jumped to a 21:18 lead after ten minutes. New Zealand maintained the lead throughout the second term. Czech Republic lost their first game at the Four Nations Tournament in China. The Czech side surrendered against the hosts 54:71 for 1-1 record. Julia Reisingerova (194-C-98) nailed 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to pace the European side. China dominated in the first half. The hosts built a 20:13 lead after ten minutes.
