There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in NBL.

The game between second ranked NH Ostrava (16-7) and seventh ranked Levice (11-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. NH Ostrava was defeated by Levice in Levice 67-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of NH Ostrava. The game was mostly controlled by Levice. NH Ostrava managed to win third quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Levice dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to NH Ostrava's 32. American guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 4 assists. Slovenian center Salih Nuhanovic (208-82) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Levice's coach Oleg Meleschenko used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Austin Dufault (205-90, college: Colorado) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for NH Ostrava. Levice maintains seventh place with 11-11 record. NH Ostrava at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Levice are looking forward to face bottom-ranked BK Usti nad Labem (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. NH Ostrava will play against B&W Opava (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for CEZ Nymburk (20-1) which played road game in Pardubice against 3rd placed BK Pardubice (14-7). First ranked CEZ Nymburk had an easy win 81-66. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of BK Pardubice. It was a great evening for American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 assists. Radek Necas helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds. American center Travis Nelson (208-87, college: Minnesota St.) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds. CEZ Nymburk have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-1 record. BK Pardubice at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. CEZ Nymburk will play against BK Prostejov (#4) at home in the next round. BK Pardubice will play against USK Praha and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between fourth ranked BK Prostejov (14-8) and 5th ranked BC Kolin (12-10) in Prostejov on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. BK Prostejov outscored guests from Kolin 123-86. It was a quality performance for Dusan Pandula who led the winners and scored 28 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Demarius Bolds came up with 28 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for BC Kolin in the defeat. BC Kolin's coach Predrag Benacek gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. BK Prostejov have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 14-8 record. Loser BC Kolin dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. BK Prostejov will meet league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Kolin will play against Levharti Chomutov (#10) and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 23: bottom-ranked Usti n/Labem was beaten by BK Decin on the road 79-71. B&W Opava lost to J.Hradec on its own court 83-92. Svitavy managed to outperform Chomutov in Svitavy 94-89.
The most impressive performance of 23th round was 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Matej Venta of J.Hradec.


BK Decin - Usti n/Labem 79-71

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked BK Decin (12-9) beat at home bottom-ranked BK Usti nad Labem (4-18) 79-71 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BK Usti nad Labem won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when BK Decin won last quarter 21-14. They made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 BK Usti nad Labem turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Jakub Houska (207-82) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Levell Sanders (189-75, college: Seton Hall, agency: Stanley International) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists for the winning side. The former international forward Stefan Licartovsky (196-84) came up with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Polish forward Robert Lewandowski (208-89, college: Texas Tech) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for BK Usti nad Labem in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BK Decin moved-up to fifth place. Loser BK Usti nad Labem stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. BK Decin will meet Basketbal Svitavy (#9) on the road in the next round. BK Usti nad Labem will play against Levice (#7) and hope to secure a win.

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked BK Lions Hradec and 12th ranked B&W Opava had identical 6-15 record. But B&W Opava was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from J.Hradec 92-83 on Saturday night. The game without a history. BK Lions Hradec led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 33-of-43 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Slovenian point guard Matej Venta (188-84) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Ladislav Sokolovsky (200-77) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ladislav Toth (196-83) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for B&W Opava in the defeat. Five B&W Opava players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BK Lions Hradec maintains eleventh place with 7-15 record. B&W Opava lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. BK Lions Hradec will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. B&W Opava will play against the league's second-placed NH Ostrava (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Tomas Macela (178-88) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard Showron Glover (180-87) came up with 27 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the other American import forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) added 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Levharti Chomutov in the defeat. Five Basketbal Svitavy and four Levharti Chomutov players scored in double figures. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Chomutov. Levharti Chomutov lost third consecutive game. Basketbal Svitavy will meet at home higher ranked BK Decin (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
