Here is the weekly review of the top performing Czech Republic players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international forward Jan Vesely (211-90, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to an easy victory against the Orlando Magic (14-27) crushing them 120-91 in the NBA in Monday night's game. Vesely scored 10 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 25 minutes on the court. The Washington Wizards have not so impressive 9-30 record this season. This year Vesely averages: 2.7ppg, 2.6rpg, 2FGP: 48.6% and FT: 22.2% in the 29 games he played so far. He played for the Czech Republic senior national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91, currently plays in Spain). Satoransky was the major contributor in Cajasol's victory against the closely-ranked UCAM Murcia (7-11) 81-73 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. He scored 16 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla (7-11) is placed 12th in the ACB. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Satoransky's first season with the team. Satoransky is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.1ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.0apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 49.3%, 3FGP: 29.7% and FT: 76.2%. Satoransky is in the roster of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international center Ondrej Starosta (215-79, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He could not help Planasa NV (7-8) in their last game. Despite Starosta's very good performance Planasa NV was crushed 90-61 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Lleida_Basquet. He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 11 rebounds. Starosta also added 4 blocks in 35 minutes. Starosta is currently fifth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Starosta averages: 15.7ppg, 9.5rpg, 1.1apg, 1.3bpg, 2FGP: 59.0%(102-173) and FT: 40.3% in the 15 games. He played for the Czech Republic national team five years ago.

   #4. Center Tomas Hampl (215-88, currently plays in Spain) led River Andorra to a victory over the sixth-ranked Leche Rio Breogan (7-8) 77-66 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Saturday night's game. Hampl was MVP of the game. He scored 18 points. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. Hampl's overall stats this season are: 7.6ppg and 3.9rpg. He is also Czech Republic national team player.

   #5. International shooting guard Pavel Pumprla (198-86, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Blusens Monbus (9-9) in their game against Assignia Manresa (3-15) in the Spanish ACB. Pumprla scored 7 points in 16 minutes. Blusens Monbus lost 69-83 in Manresa to the one of league's weakest teams (#17) Assignia. This year Pumprla's overall stats are: 6.4ppg and 2.7rpg in the 18 games. He plays currently for the Czech Republic national team.

   #6. Center Ondrej Balvin (216-92, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tomas Satoransky and both played together in the last Spanish ACB game. Balvin managed to help Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla in a victory against the closely-ranked UCAM Murcia (7-11) 81-73. He scored only 2 points in 12 minutes. This year Balvin's total stats are: 2.4ppg and 1.8rpg in the 14 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Czech Republic National Team roster.

   #7. Former international center Ales Chan (216-80, agency: Edge Sports, college: Seton Hill, currently plays in Cyprus) was not able to secure a victory for Apoel (2-6) in their game against Etha (10-4) in the Cypriot Division A. Chan scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. Apoel was edged 71-70 in a derby game by the higher-ranked (#3) Etha. The Regular Season already ended. Chan has averaged so far 6.2ppg and 4.3rpg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Czech Republic national team three years ago.

   #8. Power forward Marek Soucek (213-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Texas Tech University (1-4) crushing them 79-45 in the NCAA on Saturday night. He recorded only 3 points. The Oklahoma State University has 2-3 conference record this season. Soucek has averaged so far 6.6ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.1apg. He used to play for the Czech Republic U20 national team back in 2010.


The list of other players, who all have Czech Republic passport but never been selected to any of Czech Republic national teams:

   #1. Robert Skibniewski (183-PG-83, currently plays in Poland), who plays in the Polish TBL could not help AZS Koszalin (9-8) to beat Kotwica (5-12). Skibniewski scored only 4 points and added 4 assists. AZS Koszalin was defeated 88-76 on the road by the lower-ranked Kotwica (#10). Skibniewski belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #7. His total stats this season are: 7.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.1apg and 1.2spg.

   #2. David Steffel (212-C/F-85, currently plays in Romania) was not able to help Rovinari (9-9) in their game against Timisoara (9-6) in the Romanian Liga Nationala. Steffel scored only 4 points. Rovinari was defeated 94-87 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Timisoara (#6). His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Steffel is currently first on the league's list of best rebounders. This season he has very good stats: 14.1ppg, 9.0rpg and 1.5apg.

   #3. Michal Kremen (200-G/F-81, currently plays in Cyprus) was not able to secure a victory for Apoel (2-6) in their game against Etha (10-4) in the Cypriot Division A. Kremen cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Apoel was edged 71-70 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Etha (#3). The Regular Season already ended. Kremen has averaged so far 6.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6spg.

   #4. Jan Kratochvil (200-F-82, currently plays in Slovakia) managed to help MBK Rieker Komarno in a victory against the sixth-ranked Inter Bratislava (10-12) 85-76 in the Slovakian Extraliga last Saturday. He scored only 2 points in 12 minutes. MBK Rieker Komarno (16-5) is placed first in the Extraliga. Kratochvil has averaged so far 6.6ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.1apg in the 20 games he played so far.

   #5. Jaromir Fohler (211-C-85, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a Lan Mobel ISB's victory against the fifth-ranked Prat Juventud (7-6) 79-71 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Friday night's game. Fohler scored only 2 points in 8 minutes on the court. Lan Mobel Iraurgi Saski Baloia (1-0) is placed in the LEB Silver. Fohler has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.7rpg in the 12 games.

After the injury of Jestin Lewis(he will miss at least 3-4 weeks), Oroszlanyi Sportegylet E Lions (NB I. B) landed 25-year old American guard Darion Rackley (190-77kg-92, college: Jacksonville State). He played recently at Orli Prostejov in NBL league in Czech Republic. In only one game he had 5 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 4 steals this season. Rackley also played earlier that season for ES Sahel (Division I) in Tunisian league. CEZ Nymburk beat Opava to seal Cup trophy in Prostejov. The defending Czech champions posted a comfortable 72-52 win in the Final. They won the first period 19-14 and added a 21-14 rally in the second frame for a 12-point halftime advantage. Moreover CEZ Nymburk closed the game with a 16-8 run to triumph in the Hyundai FINAL 4.
