CEZ Basketball Nymburk and BK Decin kicked off Round 25 of the basic part of the regular season early this week picking up impressive victories on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

Levharti Chomutov (68) vs. CEZ Basketball Nymburk (106): 68-106
2-2 at the 8:40 mark of the first quarter was as close as the home team would get as Nymburk raced out to an early 22-8 lead and never looked back, easing their way to a league-leading 22nd victory versus one defeat. Nymburk connected on 61% from the field including 14-24 from three as five players reached double figures, led by point guard Tweety Carter (180-PG-86, college: Baylor) who scored a game-high tying 18 points. A class above Levharti Chomutov (8-16), Nymburk dominated on the boards (39-23) and in assists (18-10).
For the home team, they were led by Ladislav Pecka (197-F-91) who scored 18 points on 6-14 shooting. They will now prepare themselves for A2 group play which will begin at the conclusion of all games in the basic phase.

BK Decin (78) vs. Astrum Levice (59): 78-59
Decin used the third quarter to break open a two-point contest at the half en route to a comfortable 78-56 victory tonight over visiting Astrum Levice. Decin (14-10) outscored the visitors 27-8 in the third and were led by Admir Alic (197-F-84) who scored a game-high 15 points on 7-12 shooting. Levice (11-13), which was eliminated from contention for playing in A1 group play after the last round, shot miserably for the game connecting on just 23-62 field goals and 7-16 free-throws. They were led by Jeremy Simmons (204-F-89, agency: Interperformances, college: Charleston) who tallied the games only double-double, 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in 29:42 of action. Levell Sanders (189-G-75, agency: Stanley International, college: Seton Hall) of Decin notched the highest efficiency rating of the game with a 22 rating as he scored 12 points while handing out a game-high 8 assists.

Lions Jindrichuv Hradec agreed on terms of contract extension with Lukas Stegbauer(198-PF-95). The power forward will spend one more season with the team. Lukas Stegbauer notched 3.8 points, 2.3 rebounds per game last season. The forward is the product of Nymburk basketball school.
