Here is the weekly review of the top performing Czech Republic players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91, currently plays in Spain). He led Cajasol to a surprising victory over the seventh-ranked Valencia Basket (13-10) 72-66 in the Spanish ACB in Saturday night's game. Satoransky was MVP of the game. He scored 16 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals in 28 minutes on the court. Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla (9-14) is placed 14th in the ACB. Satoransky is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league with 4.1apg. He also averaged so far 12.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 50.6%, 3FGP: 31.1% and FT: 75.6% in the 22 games he played so far. Satoransky is currently a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Jan Vesely (211-90, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to a 3-point Washington Wizards' victory against the Philadelphia 76ers (23-36) 90-87 in the NBA last Sunday. Vesely scored 6 points. The Washington Wizards have not so impressive 19-39 record this season. This year Vesely averages: 2.8ppg, 2.5rpg and FT: 25.8%. He played for the Czech Republic national team in 2010.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Pavel Pumprla (198-86, currently plays in Spain). Pumprla contributed to a Blusens Monbus' victory against the sixth-ranked CAI Zaragoza (13-10) 72-64 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. He scored 6 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Blusens Monbus Obradoiro CAB (11-12) is placed tenth in the ACB. Pumprla's overall stats this season are: 6.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 57.4%(54-94), 3FGP: 46.2%(6-13) and FT: 82.1%. He is also a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

Center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, agency: Two Points, college: Iowa St., currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA could not help Umana Venezia (11-10) to beat Sutor Montegranaro (7-14). Hubalek scored 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 9 minutes. Umana Venezia was crushed 88-64 on the road by the lower-ranked (#13) Sutor Montegranaro. This year Hubalek's overall stats are: 1.7ppg and 1.8rpg in the nine games. He used to play for the Czech Republic national team back in 2009.

An experienced former international center Ales Chan (216-80, agency: Edge Sports, college: Seton Hill, currently plays in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A was not able to help Apoel (12-9) in their last game on Friday. Despite Chan's good performance Apoel was defeated 83-79 in Limassol by the lower-ranked Apollon (#5). He scored 13 points. It's Chan's first season with the team. Chan's total stats this year are: 6.8ppg and 3.9rpg. He used to play for the Czech Republic national team three years ago.

   #6. Center Ondrej Balvin (216-92, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tomas Satoransky and both played together in the last Spanish ACB game. Balvin managed to help Cajasol Banca Civica Sevilla in a victory against the seventh-ranked Valencia Basket (13-10) 72-66. He scored 5 points in 15 minutes. This year Balvin's total stats are: 3.5ppg and 2.7rpg in the 19 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Czech Republic National Team roster.

International small forward Lubos Barton (202-80, college: Valparaiso, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German BBL was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams New Yorker Phantoms (10-15) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Barton's good performance New Yorker Phantoms was crushed 92-58 in Weissenfels by the higher-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#14). He recorded 10 points. Barton has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 3.3rpg. He is also Czech Republic national team player.

   #8. Center Ondrej Starosta (215-79, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) couldn't help Planasa NV (8-12) in their last game on Friday. Despite Starosta's good performance Planasa NV was crushed 78-53 on the opponent's court by the leading River_Andorra. He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Starosta also added 4 rebounds. Starosta is currently sixth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Starosta averages: 15.1ppg, 9.7rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1bpg. He used to play for the Czech Republic national team back in 2008.

   #9. International center Tomas Hampl (215-88, currently plays in Spain) faced previously mentioned Ondrej Starosta in the Spanish LEB Gold last game. Hampl helped River Andorra win their game against the tenth-ranked Planasa NV (8-12) crushing them 78-53. He scored only 4 points. Hampl has averaged so far 7.3ppg and 4.0rpg. He is also in the roster of the Czech Republic national team.

The list of other players, who all have Czech Republic passport but never been selected to any of Czech Republic national teams:

   #1. Michal Kremen (200-G/F-81, currently plays in Cyprus), who plays in the Cypriot Division A could not help Apoel (12-9) in their last game. Despite Kremen's very good performance Apoel lost 79-83 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) Apollon. He was the top scorer with 15 points. Kremen also added 7 boards, dished 4 assists and stole 4 balls in 29 minutes. It's Kremen's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 7.2ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6spg in the 16 games he played so far.

   #2. David Steffel (212-C/F-85, currently plays in Romania), who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala was not able to help Rovinari (12-13) in their last game. Despite Steffel's good performance Rovinari lost 84-92 in Mures to the much higher-ranked (#3) Targu. He scored 12 points, had 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 33 minutes. It was Rovinari's third consecutive loss in a row. Steffel is currently fourth on the list of best rebounders with 8.2rpg. This year his other stats are: 12.8ppg and 1.5apg in the 25 games.

   #3. Jaroslav Tyrna (207-F/C-86, college: New Orleans, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an USC Leipzig's victory against the closely-ranked Finke Baskets (9-15) 91-82 in the German ProA (second division) last Saturday. Tyrna scored 9 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 19 minutes. Uni-Riesen Leipzig (4-20) is located at the very bottom in the ProA. But the situation may improve as they ended a series of twelve consecutive loses. Tyrna has averaged so far 6.1ppg and 5.5rpg in the 10 games.

BK Geosan Kolin (NBL) signed 26-year old American point guard Chris Dixon (185-85kg-90, college: NC-Wilmington). He played last summer at Complete Set in Eurobasket Summer League in Orlando, which is considered top international summer league on the market. Dixon graduated from University of N.Carolina-Wilmington in 2014 and it will be his third season as a professional player. Terrell Lipkins joins J.Hradec - 14 hours ago

BK Lions Jindrichuv Hradec (NBL) added to their roster 25-year old American point guard Terrell Lipkins (180-77kg-91). He just graduated from Montevallo (NCAA2). In 28 games he had very impressive stats: 21.9ppg, 4.6rpg, 4.1apg and 1.9spg last season. Lipkins helped them to make it to the semifinals. JBC MMCITE Brno (NBL) inked 21-year old Austria center C.J. Turman (206-113kg-95, college: Florida Atlantic). He was about to sign at BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld Panthers in Austria A Bundesliga.
