An interesting game for USK Praha (15-0) which played road game in Nymburk against 3rd ranked Basketball Nymburk (11-5). Top-ranked USK Praha had an easy win 93-48. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Basketball Nymburk. USK Praha dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Basketball Nymburk's 42 and made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Basketball Nymburk only scored four points from the stripe. USK Praha forced 22 Basketball Nymburk turnovers and outrebounded them 96-77 including a 62-47 advantage in defensive rebounds. USK Praha shot the lights out from three sinking 31 long-distance shots on high 68.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Basketball Nymburk's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Tereza Vyoralova (175-94) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Candice Dupree (188-84, college: Temple) contributed with 17 points and 5 steals for the winners. Russian-Ukrainian center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-89) replied with 9 points and 8 rebounds for Basketball Nymburk. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated USK Praha have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-0 record. Basketball Nymburk at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. USK Praha are looking forward to face league's second-placed Sokol Hradec Kralove on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basketball Nymburk will play against BLK Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Brno supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove (13-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Handicap (8-8). Sokol Hradec Kralove smashed Handicap 91-53. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Klara Rosenbaumova (185-90) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 9 rebounds and Tereza Kuthanova who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side Natalie Stoupalova (183-98) responded with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Handicap's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sokol Hradec Kralove have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-3 record having just one point less than leader USK Praha. Handicap lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost. Sokol Hradec Kralove will play against league's leader USK Praha at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Handicap will play against Basket Slovanka MB (#10) in Vodochody and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between fifth ranked Valosun Brno (9-5) and 10th ranked Basket Slovanka MB (3-12) in Brno on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Valosun Brno outscored guests from Vodochody 115-40. The winners were led by Marina Solopova who scored that evening 16 points and 9 rebounds. Valosun Brno's coach Marian Svoboda felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 5 points and 9 rebounds by Brianna Wilson did not help to save the game for Basket Slovanka MB. Valosun Brno maintains fifth position with 9-5 record. Basket Slovanka MB lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 12 games lost. Valosun Brno will meet Karlovy Vary (#8) on the road in the next round. Basket Slovanka MB will play against Handicap and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 16 Karlovy Vary was beaten by SBS Ostrava on the road 81-65. BLK Praha destroyed MK Technic on its own court 112-65.
The most impressive performance of 16th round was 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists by Krystal Vaughn of BLK Praha.

SBS Ostrava - Karlovy Vary 81-65

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked SBS Ostrava (6-10) beat at home 7th ranked Karlovy Vary (7-9) 81-65 on Sunday. SBS Ostrava made 33-of-40 free shots (82.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Karlovy Vary turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 35 long-distance shots on high 70.0 percentage. SBS Ostrava looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Karlovy Vary's players. The winners were led by American guard Jylisa Williams (176-89, college: Georgia St.) who scored that evening 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Danielle Butts (178-92, college: N.Carolina) supported her with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by forward Dana Kuslitova (182-90) did not help to save the game for Karlovy Vary. Center Julia Reisingerova (194-98) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SBS Ostrava maintains ninth position with 6-10 record. Loser Karlovy Vary dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. SBS Ostrava will meet U19 Chance (#11) in the next round. Karlovy Vary will play against Valosun Brno and hope to secure a win.

Very expected game when 11th ranked MK Technic (1-15) was smashed on the road by third ranked BLK Praha (12-4) 112-65 on Saturday. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by American swingman Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: VCU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her nine free throws !!!) and Slovakian center Maria Felixova (191-90) supported her with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
