The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked SKB Zlin (15-2) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Novy Jicin (6-11) 101-95. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of SKB Zlin. Novy Jicin dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to SKB Zlin's 46. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Slovakian center Ondrej Soska (208-78) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Lukas Pindroch (198-92) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. David Nehoda (193-91) answered with 27 points and 5 rebounds for SKB Zlin. Newly promoted Novy Jicin maintains eighth place with 6-11 record, which they share with Sokol Pisek. SKB Zlin at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Novy Jicin is looking forward to face higher ranked Olomouc Bbal (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SKB Zlin will play against Sokol Slapanice (#4) in Slapnice and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Nymburk. Seventh ranked USK Praha B (7-10) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Nymburk B (11-6) 72-70 on Monday evening. Swingman Jan Streba (195-95) stepped up and scored 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Jakub Tuma chipped in 8 points. Lukas Stegbauer (197-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. USK Praha B moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Prostejov B. Nymburk B at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. USK Praha B will play against league's leader Sokol Hradec Kralove at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nymburk B will play against BK Loko Plzen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Praha: Sokol Prazky (#4) and GBA Sparta (#8). GBA Sparta was defeated at home 67-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Jakub Tomas nailed 16 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side. Roberts Blumbergs came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds for GBA Sparta in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sokol Prazky have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 10-7 record. GBA Sparta lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Sokol Prazky will meet at home Sokol Pisek (#8) in the next round. GBA Sparta will play against the league's second-placed Slavoj BK Litomerice and hope to secure a win.

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Olomouc SK (12-5) against tenth ranked Havirov (2-15) on Friday night. Visiting Olomouc SK was crushed by Havirov in Havirov 100-73. Jan Kolonicny orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Olomouc SK's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Havirov maintains tenth place with 2-15 record. Newly promoted Olomouc SK keeps the second position with five games lost. Havirov will face higher ranked Ostrava (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olomouc SK will play against BK Prostejov B (#7) and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: USK Praha B was beaten by Vysocina on the road 84-77. Sokol H.K. destroyed Slavoj Litom. on its own court 97-76. Basket Kosice unfortunately lost to Loko Plzen in a road game 76-82. GBA Sparta recorded a loss to Loko Plzen at home 46-64. Sokol Slapanice was defeated by Prostejov B on the opponent's court 88-77. Pardubice beat Ostrava in a home game 85-75. Opava B won against Olomouc Bbal on the road 80-71.

Group A
Sokol Pisek - Nymburk B 79-68

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Nymburk B (11-6) against eighth ranked Sokol Pisek (6-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Nymburk B was defeated by Sokol Pisek in Pisek 79-68. Sokol Pisek dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Nymburk B's 26. The best player for the winners was swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Center Dalibor Fait (203-93) chipped in 20 points. Sokol Pisek's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International center Martin Peterka (205-95) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Martin Kolar (194-98) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Martin Novak (199-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Point guard Martin Straznicky (180-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists for the winners. Four Vysocina players scored in double figures. Point guard Ondrej Sehnal (183-97) answered with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Jan Streba (195-95) added 23 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for USK Praha B. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Josef Potocek (196-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. Point guard Viktor Pulpan (191-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Forward Ondrej Siko (199-81) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Michal Palat (194-90) added 14 points in the effort for Ostrava. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ostrava's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pardubice have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 8-9 record. Ostrava lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Important game to mention about took place in Nymburk. Seventh ranked USK Praha B (7-10) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Nymburk B (11-6) 72-70 on Monday evening. Swingman Jan Streba (195-95) stepped up and scored 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Jakub Tuma (192-98) chipped in 8 points. Lukas Stegbauer (197-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Matej Svoboda (200-96) scored 25 points. USK Praha B moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Prostejov B. Nymburk B at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. USK Praha B will play against league's leader Sokol Hradec Kralove at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Praha: Sokol Prazky (#4) and GBA Sparta (#8). GBA Sparta was defeated at home 67-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Sokol Prazky made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 GBA Sparta turnovers. Power forward Jakub Tomas (200-80) nailed 16 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side and point guard Tomas Gavenda (182-96) accounted for 11 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Latvian power forward Roberts Blumbergs (204-97) came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Latvian forward Verners Kohs (203-97) added 15 points respectively for GBA Sparta in the defeat. Four GBA Sparta players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sokol Prazky have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 10-7 record. GBA Sparta lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Sokol Prazky will meet at home Sokol Pisek (#8) in the next round. GBA Sparta will play against the league's second-placed Slavoj BK Litomerice and hope to secure a win.
