The Regular Season in 1Liga just ended. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove (14-4) on the court of sixth ranked USK Praha B on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by USK Praha B 72-66. USK Praha B outrebounded Sokol Hradec Kralove 43-26 including 32 on the defensive glass. Swingman Jan Streba (195-95) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Lukas Festr (185-94) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. USK Praha B's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was David Sirek (195-91) with 16 points and 4 assists. USK Praha B maintains sixth position in Group A with 8-10 record. Sokol Hradec Kralove at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Novy Jicin. Fifth ranked Olomouc Bbal (10-8) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 8th ranked Novy Jicin (6-12) 71-69 on Sunday evening. Jiri Dedek (190-95) notched 21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Evgeni Scripcaru supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by point guard Daniel Panak (180-95) did not help to save the game for Novy Jicin. Novy Jicin's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Olomouc Bbal moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Sokol Slapanice. Newly promoted Novy Jicin keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ostrava.
Very important is a road loss of first ranked SKB Zlin (15-3) against fourth ranked Sokol Slapanice (10-8) on Sunday night. Visiting SKB Zlin was crushed by Sokol Slapanice in Slapnice 80-55. The best player for the winners was Zdenek Sebela who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Sokol Slapanice's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Michal Susak who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Sokol Slapanice maintains fourth position in Group B with 10-8 record, which they share with Olomouc Bbal. Loser SKB Zlin still keeps top place with three games lost.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked B&W Opava B (12-6) against sixth ranked Pardubice (9-9) on Friday night. Host B&W Opava B was defeated by Pardubice in Opava 81-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of B&W Opava B. It was a good game for Josef Potocek who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds. B&W Opava B's coach tested eleven players saving starting five for next games. Pardubice have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position in Group B with 9-9 record. B&W Opava B at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Olomouc SK (12-6) against seventh ranked BK Prostejov B (8-10) on Wednesday night. Host Olomouc SK was defeated by BK Prostejov B in Olomouc 79-65. Frantisek Vana scored 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Newly promoted BK Prostejov B maintains seventh position in Group B with 8-10 record. Olomouc SK lost third consecutive game. Olomouc SK at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the second place with six games lost.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 18:
In Group A Loko Plzen lost to Nymburk B on the opponent's court 60-74. Slavoj Litom. managed to outperform GBA Sparta in a home game 87-80. Sokol Pisek rolled over Sokol Prazky on the road 77-54. Basket Kosice defeated Vysocina on its own court 78-69.
In Group B Havirov was beaten by Ostrava in a road game 72-57.

Nymburk B - Loko Plzen 74-60

Rather expected game when 5th ranked BK Loko Plzen (9-9) was defeated on the road by third ranked Nymburk B (12-6) 74-60 on Sunday. Nymburk B forced 24 BK Loko Plzen turnovers. Forward Matej Svoboda (200-96) scored 28 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lukas Stegbauer (197-95) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Nymburk B players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Ondrej Fleischhans (189-97) with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Martin David (195-97) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Nymburk B maintains third position in Group A with 12-6 record having just three points less than leader Zlin. Loser BK Loko Plzen keeps the fifth place with nine games lost.

They outrebounded GBA Sparta 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Slavoj BK Litomerice looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. GBA Sparta was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Martin Klimes (203-83, college: Vermont) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian forward Admir Alic (197-84) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Slavoj BK Litomerice's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Latvian power forward Roberts Blumbergs (204-97) with 32 points and 7 rebounds and Slovakian forward Matej Drgon (202-98) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Slavoj BK Litomerice maintains second position in Group A with 13-5 record having just two points less than leader Zlin. GBA Sparta lost sixth consecutive game. Very important is a home loss of third ranked Olomouc SK (12-6) against seventh ranked BK Prostejov B (8-10) on Wednesday night. Host Olomouc SK was defeated by BK Prostejov B in Olomouc 79-65. BK Prostejov B dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Olomouc SK's 34. BK Prostejov B forced 22 Olomouc SK turnovers. Swingman Frantisek Vana (192-98) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Adam Goga (196-97) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four BK Prostejov B players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Pavel Novak (199-83) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and forward Martin Vanak (198-87) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Newly promoted BK Prostejov B maintains seventh position in Group B with 8-10 record. Olomouc SK lost third consecutive game. Olomouc SK at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the second place with six games lost.
