Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Czechs who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Patrik Auda (206-89, agency: Octagon Europe, college: Seton Hall, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He could not help Rosa in their last game. Despite Auda's very good performance his team lost 69-75 on the road to the lower-ranked Antwerp Giants. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Auda also added 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 29 minutes on the court. Auda has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.5apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 84.2%(16-19) and FT: 71.4% in two games he played so far. Auda is currently a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Ondrej Balvin (217-92, also represented by Octagon Europe, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to a Gran Canaria's victory against the 14th-ranked Gipuzkoa (0-1) 84-76 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. Balvin recorded 6 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. It was his first game for Gran Canaria this season. His team is placed third in the Liga Endesa. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Balvin is in the roster of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Lukas Palyza (202-89, currently plays in Poland). He was not able to help GTK (0-1) in their last game. Despite Palyza's very good performance GTK lost 76-82 in Krosno to the much higher-ranked (#3) Miasto Szkla. He was the top scorer with 19 points in 28 minutes. It was his first game for GTK this season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Palyza is also a member of the Czech Republic senior national team.

   #4. Center Adam Pechacek (207-95, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro CAB to win against the league outsider Zaragoza (0-1) 80-74 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. He recorded only 2 points. It was his first game for Blusens Monbus this season. His team is placed fifth in the Liga Endesa. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Pechacek is also Czech Republic national team player.

David Jelinek
David Jelinek
   #5. International swingman David Jelinek (195-90, another player represented by Octagon Europe, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Andorra (0-1) in their game against Real Madrid (1-0) in the Spanish Liga Endesa. He recorded 5 points in 12 minutes. It was his first game for Andorra this season. Andorra lost 88-94 in Madrid to the higher-ranked (#6) Real. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Jelinek used to play for the Czech Republic national team last year.


The list of other players, who all have Czech Republic passport but never been selected to any of Czech Republic national teams:

   #1. Jaroslav Tyrna (207-C-86, agency: Octagon Europe, college: New Orleans, currently plays in Germany) contributed to Sixers' victory against the ninth-ranked Westerstede (0-1) 84-74 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) on Sunday night. He scored 6 points. BSW Sixers Sandersdorf (2-0) is placed third in North group. Tyrna's overall stats this season are: 4.0ppg and 4.0rpg.

   #2. John Boyer (185-PG-88, agency: Dynamics Global Management, college: Buffalo, currently plays in Germany) led Oberhaching to a victory over the tenth-ranked GGZ Baskets (1-1) 92-74 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) in Sunday night's game. Boyer was MVP of the game. He scored 18 points, had 4 boards, passed 4 assists and added 5 steals in 31 minutes. TSV Oberhaching Deisenhofen (1-1) is placed fifth in South-East group. Boyer has relatively good stats this year: 15.0ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.5apg and 2.5spg in two games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Boyer used to play for BK Decin in Czech Republic league.

   #3. Marek Ivan (197-F-98, currently plays in Slovakia). He could not help Iskra Svit (0-1) to beat Levice. Ivan recorded 6 points and added 4 assists. It was his first game for Iskra Svit this season. Iskra Svit was defeated 86-82 on the road by the much higher-ranked Levice. Ivan has a dual citizenship: Czech Republic and Slovakian. Despite his Czech Republic passport, Ivan currently plays for the Slovakian U20 national team and is not eligible to play for the Czech Republic team.

   #4. Lubos Novy (204-C-91, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Bamberg (0-2) 91-75 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) on Sunday night. He scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes. Baskets Vilsbiburg (2-0) is placed fourth in South-East group. It's Novy's seventh season with the team. Novy has relatively good stats this year: 13.5ppg and 5.5rpg in two games.

   #5. Jakub Kasa (203-F/C-92, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Dorsten in their game against Hertener Loewen (4-0) in the German Regionalliga (fourth division). He scored 8 points. The 13th-placed Dorsten (0-4) was defeated 82-73 in Herten by the second-ranked er Loewen in the West group. So far Dorsten lost all four games in the Regular Season. Kasa's overall stats this season are: 8.3ppg and 4.3rpg.

Coach Ronen Ginzburg (agency: Stanislav Ryzhov ) leaves Czech champion defendersCEZ Basketball Nymburk and will continue as a coach of Czech national team for full time job. Ginzburg stared in CEZ Basketball Nymburk in 2006 as assistant coach of Muli Katzurin. He was the main coach from 2010 to 2013 and from 2015. As the new CEZ Basketball Nymburk's coach was named current assistant Oren Amiel. Ginzburg is on the Czech national team bench from 2014 and EuroBasket 2015 qualification. Cz...   [read more]

Nymburk - Aris 99:70 Nymburk claimed the first win in Champions League regular season. They stormed past Aris for 1-1 record in Group D. Quincy Diggs (198-G/F-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) nailed 19 points to pace the hosts. Nymburk drained 27 points in the opening frame to gain a 9-point lead.
