We bring you last week's top performances from Czechs who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international swingman Romana Hejdova (184-88, currently plays in France). She was the major contributor in Mondeville's victory against one of league's weakest teams Roche (0-1) 72-62 in the French LFB in Saturday night's game. Hejdova recorded 18 points, 3 assists and 5 steals in 34 minutes on the court. It was her first game for Mondeville this season. Her team is placed fourth in the LFB. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Hejdova played for the Czech Republic senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Tereza Peckova (190-87, currently plays in Hungary). She led Miskolc to an easy victory against the league outsider Vasas Akademia (0-1) crushing them 89-54 in the Hungarian A Division last Friday. Peckova recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc (1-1) is placed fifth in the A Division. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Peckova has relatively good stats this year: 11.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.0apg, 2FGP: 55.6%(10-18). She played for the Czech Republic national team in 2015.

   #3. The Czech Republic player who performed third best last week abroad was U18 international center Julia Reisingerova (194-98, currently plays in Spain). Reisingerova contributed to a Sant Adria's victory against the 12th-ranked Gernika (0-1) 80-73 in the Spanish LFB on Sunday night. She recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in 23 minutes. It was her first game for Sant Adria this season. Her team is placed second in the LFB. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Reisingerova played for the Czech Republic U18 national team one years ago.

   #4. Forward Romana Stehlikova (190-85, currently plays in Slovakia) led Good Angels to an easy victory against the league outsider UKF Nitra (0-1) crushing them 96-51 in the Slovakian Extraliga in Saturday night's game. She recorded 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was her first game for Good Angels this season. Her team is placed first in the Extraliga. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Stehlikova used to play for the Czech Republic national team back in 2008.

Former international center Kamila Stepanova (191-88, currently plays in Hungary) helped UNI Gyor win their game against one of league's weakest teams PINKK-Pecsi (0-1) crushing them 97-64 in the Hungarian A Division last Saturday. She recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 14 minutes. It was her first game for UNI Gyor this season. Her team is placed fourth in the A Division. Stepanova used to play for the Czech Republic national team two years ago.

   #6. Swingman Petra Zaplatova (175-91, currently plays in Germany) managed to help TSV 1880 Wasserburg to win against the league outsider BasCats Heidelberg (0-3) 72-68 in the German DBBL on Saturday night. She scored only 4 points and had 3 steals. TSV 1880 Wasserburg (3-0) is placed third in the DBBL. So far her team won all three games in the Regular Season. It's Zaplatova's first season with the team. This year Zaplatova averages: 6.0ppg, 1.7rpg, 1.7apg and 2.3spg. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Czech Republic National Team roster.

   #7. International guard Lenka Bartakova (175-91, currently plays in Euroleague) could not help Piestanske Cajky (0-2) in their last game. Despite Bartakova's good performance Piestanske Cajky was crushed 71-46 on the road by the lower-ranked (#3) CCC Polkowice. She was the second best scorer with 10 points. Bartakova also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes. The Qualifying Round already ended in the Euroleague. This year Bartakova's overall stats are: 8.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.5apg and 2.5spg in two games she played so far. She is also Czech Republic national team player.

   #8. Guard Michaela Stara (175-90, currently plays in Poland) was not able to help JAS FBG (0-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Stara's good performance JAS FBG was defeated 86-81 at home by the higher-ranked TS Ostrovia (#8). She scored 10 points. Stara's total stats this season are: 8.0ppg and 1.5spg. She used to play for the Czech Republic national team back in 2013.

Former University international power forward Barbora Kasparkova (185-92, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lenka Bartakova and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Kasparkova was not able to secure a victory for Piestanske Cajky (0-2) in their game against CCC Polkowice (2-0). She recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. Piestanske Cajky was crushed 71-46 in Polkowice by the lower-ranked (#3) CCC Polkowice. This year Kasparkova's total stats are: 5.0ppg, 6.5rpg and 2.0spg in two games. She used to play for the Czech Republic university national team two years ago.   

EuroLeague: Galatasaray prevail against USK Praha in Istanbul - 2 days ago
Galatasaray - USK Praha 82:77 Galatasaray captured the first win in EuroLeague regular season. They topped USK Praha to open win count in Group A. Allie Quigley (178-G-86, college: De Paul) nailed 26 points to pace the winners. Galatasaray grabbed a 21:18 lead ten minutes into the game. The Czech champions denied the deficit in the second frame. USK Praha accumulated a 43:36 halftime lead. Galatasaray stiffened defensively in the second half. American Forward Kristi Bellock (185-F-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for BLK Praha, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 6. The 27-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, nine rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Nymburk (#2, 5-1) with 28-point margin 105-77.
