The winners missed just one points for three-digit victory over the opponents at the U18 European Championship in Division B. Denmark opened the game with 8-0 run and never looked behind after. Bigum brought 16:6 and Christian Benzon (190-G-93) nailed three for 24:15 at the end of the first frame. Christian Benzon later also improved to 31:15, while Larsen nailed 7 in a row for 42:23. Soren Dossing (185-G-92) from the perimeter scored for 48:28 and Christian Benzon closed the halftime at 55:38. The difference remained twenty in the third quarter as the teams nailed 15 points each in the frame. Bigum was the last to post in the quarter for 70:53. The last quarter became a nightmare for Luxembourg as they scored only 10 points. Moreover Denmark exploded with 29 and almost reached 100 in the game. Hertz drove a lay-up for 99:61 with 8 seconds in the game. Max Schmit (182-G-92) was the last to score in the game as he reduced for Luxembourg making a lay-up at the very end. Christian Benzon led the winners with 26 points for 1-1 record. Soren Dossing nailed 15, while Larsen scored 13. Max Schmit delivered 16 points in the losing effort as Luxembourg fell at 0-2. Gilles Polfer (187-F-93) notched 14, whilst Alex Laurent (195-C-93) scored 11 in defeat.

Denmark led by comfortable 15 points at the interval 41:26. Kevin Larsen (204-F-93) gave the Danish side a 17-point lead early in the third term. However Daniel Friedrich triggered an 8:3 run that cut the margin to 9 points late in the period. Eight points in a row helped Austria trim the deficit at 3-point mark with ten minutes to go. The gap grew at 7 points midway through the fourth quarter but Austria were able to recover. Saukel and Carlos Novas (197-F-92) ignited an 8:0 rally that gave Austria a 65:64 lead with under three minutes remaining. The teams exchanged baskets as Soren Dossing (185-G-92) drew things level at 70 with 39 seconds left in regulation. The time was just enough for Daniel Friedrich to come up with the winning bucket as Austria escaped with a narrow success at the end. Carlos Novas provided 14 points for Austria. Claudio Vancura (180-G-92) had 10 points, while Jozo Rados (203-C-93) accounted for 8 points and 15 rebounds in the victory. Kevin Larsen replied with 21 points for Denmark. Soren Dossing canned 16 points in the loss.
Bakken Bears announced the signing of guard Charles Burgess (186-G-84, college: Texas Tech). The american player played last season in Finland, for coach Dejworek, who is now the new coach in Bakken. The Aarhus team looks very strong on paper, having added much talent in the offseason.
