The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Horsens. 3rd placed host Horsens (10-7) lost to second ranked Horsholm (13-4) 77-72. Horsens were trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 18-10 charge of Horsholm, which allowed them to win the game. American power forward Lauren Beckley (181-F/C-91, college: Shippensburg) stepped up and scored 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and swingman Mie Burlin (178) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Australian guard Charmaine Furgeson (176-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Horsholm have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-4 record having four points less than leader SISU. Horsens at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost. Horsholm are looking forward to face league's leader SISU in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Horsens will play at home against Falcon and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

American center Stephanie Madden (185-88, college: Langston) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Camilla Blands accounted for 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) came up with 16 points for Falcon in the defeat. Falcon's coach Steffen Lund rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Undefeated SISU have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-0 record. Falcon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Lemvig. SISU will play against league's second-placed Horsholm at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Falcon will play against Horsens (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Kastrup supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Aabyhoj (6-11) played at the court of sixth ranked Amager (5-12). Amager smashed Aabyhoj 100-55 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Catharina Jensen who scored 31 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Courtney Coryea produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Amager maintains sixth place with 5-12 record. Loser Aabyhoj keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Amager will meet bottom-ranked Lemvig (#8) on the road in the next round. Aabyhoj will play against Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 17 Lemvig lost to Vaerlose on the opponent's court 73-77.


Falcon - SISU 73-89

Dameligaen top team - SISU (17-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Falcon (4-13) 89-73. It looked good early as Falcon took an 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then SISU took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 16 points. American center Stephanie Madden (185-88, college: Langston) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Camilla Blands (180-85, college: Alabama) accounted for 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five SISU players scored in double figures. Guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) came up with 16 points and guard Emma Block-Frederiksen (170-92) added 16 points respectively for Falcon in the defeat. Falcon's coach Steffen Lund rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. SISU have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-0 record. Amager - Aabyhoj 100-55

The game in Kastrup supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Aabyhoj (6-11) played at the court of sixth ranked Amager (5-12). Amager smashed Aabyhoj 100-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Amager led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Aabyhoj's 42 and made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Amager forced 26 Aabyhoj turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) who scored 31 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Forward Ena Viso (183-93) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Amager players scored in double figures. Vaerlose - Lemvig 77-73

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Lemvig (4-13) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Vaerlose (9-8) 77-73 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 4 points. Vaerlose had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Julia Houghtaling (-86) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Jaimie McFarlin (180-89, college: Wash.-St.Louis) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. American center Rebecca Kielpinski (188-89, college: Alaska-Anch.) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Emely Hatch (-89) added 16 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Vaerlose maintains fourth place with 9-8 record. Loser Lemvig dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with Falcon. DeShone's pro career starts at Lemvig - 8 days ago

Lemvig VB (Dameligaen) tabbed American Sarah DeShone. She just graduated from Ferris State University (NCAA2). As mentioned above DeShone is just out of the college and it will be her first season in pro basketball.She was selected to WBCA Division II All-America Honorable Mention in 2013. Telge Basketball (Damligan) signed 24-year old American forward Portia Durrett (185-86kg-92, college: Oklahoma). She played last season at Amager in Danish Dameligaen. In 21 games she was second best scorer with impressive 19.5ppg and averaged 10.8rpg (#3 in the league), 1.8apg and 1.4spg. Durrett helped them to make it to the semifinals.
