Australia U18 - Denmark U18 73:42

Australia accounted for the first win at the second stage of Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Germany. The Emus toppled Danish counterparts to gain 2-0 record in Group H. Jack Lopez (194-G-94) nailed 16 points for the winners. Denmark fell at 0-2 record.
Denmark stayed aggressive defensively in the opening quarter. The Scandinavian team recorded a 13:11 lead ten minutes into the game. But the Aussies took over in the second term. They stole the lead and registered a 34:27 halftime advantage. Australia took off in the third term. They unloaded 31 points in the frame and ran away for a 32-point lead. Denmark showed character holding the Emus to just 8 points in the fourth stanza but never threatened the margin. Dane Pineau (203-F-94) posted 11 points and 10 boards in the victory. Peter Moeller (186-G-94) accounted for 12 points for Denmark. RasmusG Larsen (212-C-94) notched 9 points in the losing case.

Malbas Oresund Malmo (Basketligan) inked 22-year old Danish center Lasse Elbaek (208-98kg-94). He played most recently at Horsens IC in Danish Ligaen. In 25 games he averaged 3.5ppg and 1.8rpg last season. Elbaek helped them to win the league title and they also made it to the Cup final. Malbas Oresund Malmo (Basketligan) inked 21-year old Danish guard Sebastian Petersen (188-76kg-95). He has played for the last three years at Bakken in Danish Ligaen. In 39 games he recorded 4.8ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.4apg last season. Petersen helped them to win the cup and make to league final.
