SISU - Horsholm 79ers 69:45

SISU became Dameligaen champions. They overcame Horsholm in the decisive fifth game of the title series tonight. Kiki Lund (177-SG-83, college: Dayton) stepped up with 18 points to lead the winners who defended the title.
It was all about SISU in this one. The hosts built a 25:15 lead after ten minutes. They stretched the gap in the second quarter. SISU posted a 40:24 halftime lead. They limited the 79ers to just 7 points in the third term to boost the gap to 18 points with ten minutes remaining. Horsholm simply could not recover as SISU rallied to a comfortable victory at the end. Stephanie Madden (185-C-88, college: Langston) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Camilla Blands (180-PG-85, college: Alabama) and Trine Duelund (180-F-84) added 10 points each in the win. Therese Deemand (175-F/G-83, college: Binghamton) answered with 20 points and 12 rebounds for Horsholm. Lauren Beckley (181-F/C-91, college: Shippensburg) delivered 14 points and 6 caroms in the loss.

Defending champion Bakken Bears (Ligaen) re-signed experienced 38-year old former international center Chris Christoffersen (218-130kg-79, college: Oregon). He has played there for the last ten seasons. In 33 Ligaen games he recorded 4.2ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.0bpg last season. Christoffersen helped them to win the league title. Svendborg Rabbits (Ligaen) confirmed in their roster 21-year old point guard Mathias Kelly (189-76kg-96, college: High School). He played there last season. In 26 Ligaen games he recorded just 2.9ppg and 1.1apg. Kelly helped them to make it to the semifinals. He represented Denmark at the European Championships U18 Division B in Sofia (Bulgaria) three years ago. Svendborg Rabbits (Ligaen) agreed terms with 29-year old Danish international guard Mikkel Plannthin (195-85kg-88, agency: Octagon Europe). It is actually his comeback to Svendborg as he has played here before. Plannthin played last season at Norrkoping Dolphins in Swedish Basketligan.
