U16 PORTUGAL - U16 DENMARK 65-50

Portugal outplayed Denmark in the last day of the Qualifying Round in Tallinn. Portugal celebrated 15-point win ending this stage with almost perfect 4-1 record. That is enough for the second place in Group E and of course for the Quarterfinals. Their rival will be Slovenia and the game is scheduled for Friday. Denmark is the last ranked team of this pool with 0-5 score. They will be transferred to classification games from 9th-12th place. Portugal was in charge during the entire game winning all quarters, except of third (15-8, 17-13, 13-14, 20-15). Simone Costa (176-G-96) and Maria Kostourkova (188-C-97) stepped up for their country with 15 and 14 points respectively. Catarina Cavaco (165-SG-96) netted 8 points. In the loosing squad, Benedikte Von Sprechelsen (176-G-96) was better than the others with 12 points ad 9 rebounds. Etta Andersen (96) scored 11 points and Sarah Mortensen (182-F-97) had 7 pts, plus 11 boards. All teams will take a rest on Thursday.

Dameligaen Round 9: Lemvig wins their first game - 10 hours ago

What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Lemvig can celebrate finally their first win this season after seven consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Aabyhoj, where they outplayed Aabyhoj (1-6) 72-53 on Wednesday. The game without a history. American Sarah DeShone put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lemvig, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The player was the main contributor (34 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat SISU (#6, 2-6) 86-71. Dameligaen Round 8: Virum loses their first game against Amager - 6 days ago

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Virum (7-1) in Kastrup on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Amager (3-3) 59-49. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Virum. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 59-49. Amager forced 21 Virum turnovers.
