Aarhus BC (formerly known as Aabyhoj IF) announced a couple of newcomers for the upcoming season with American swingman Randy Dezouvre (195-G/F) highlighting the pack. Last season Randy Dezouvre played for Iona Gaels winning the MAAC Regular Season. The forward notched 17.1 minutes per game while putting up 5.2 point per game and 2,7 rebounds per game. It will be the frist pro season for Randy Randy Dezouvre.
Another newcomer is Bulgarian forward Hristo Petkov (200-F-85, college: Campbellsville). Petkov finished a two-year contract with Bakken Bears and managed to win the Danish League in both years. Petkov had an injury-plagued season for the Danish champions and only managed to play in 11 games. This will be Petkov's fifth season in Denmark.
Icelandic guard Arnar Jonsson (184-G-83) will also be joining the team. Arnar Jonsson was a part of the team in the 10-11 season but only played pre-season games before returning to Keflavik.
Recently the club reported that they have signed Head Coach Graig Pedersen to a long-term deal of 4 years. Doing so should secure a continuity to the program and may also help attract players, as Pedersen is highly regarded as one of the top coaches in Denmark in recent years.

On another positive note the Rabbits also reported re-signing Claus Magaard, one of the CDL's top shooters. However, the team is still lacking height so it will be interesting to see what other Rabbits can be pulled out of the hat in Svendborg in the off-season.
Rumors also have Adama Darboe and Donald Rutherford (199-F/C-87, college: Catawba), two of the team's leading scorers, heading somewhere else.
Svendborg have extended the contract of Claus Magaard (194-F/G-86). The guard had a solid season with the Rabbits. He tallied 8.0 points, 2.9 boards, 1.1 assists per game in Ligaen last season. It will be the ninth season with the Rabbits for Claus Magaard. He was Danish Ligaen champion and two-times Cup winner with the team. [read more]
