The Regular Season in Ligaen just started. Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

Aarhus BC - Aalborg 97-90 OT
The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aalborg won third quarter 26-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Aalborg used huge pressure winning it 24-18 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 4-11. Aarhus BC dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Aalborg's 44. Bulgarian forward Hristo Petkov (202-85, college: Campbellsville) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Louis Gibson (195-90) chipped in 14 points and 16 assists. Five Aarhus BC players scored in double figures. Aarhus BC's coach Arnar Gudjonsson used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American power forward Ryan Willen (204-89, college: Lafayette) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Icelandic Aske Thorsteinsson (185-86) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

SISU - Naestved 82-61
The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Naestved was better in third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Naestved's players. American swingman Mickey Dennis (190-78, college: JMU) nailed 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side and his fellow American import center Zack Moritz (210-88, college: Boise St.) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Caleb Walker (193-89, college: Nebraska) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the former international power forward Mads Frandsen (203-90) added 7 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Naestved in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Bakken - Horsholm 90-74
Bakken used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Horsholm 90-74 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-74. Bakken made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Bakken outrebounded Horsholm 33-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. Horsholm was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Chad Tomko (180-89, college: NC-Wilmington) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 assists and 5 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners and the former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) chipped in 19 points. Tomko is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Casper Hesseldal (198-85, college: Dickinson St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and forward Atila Kovac (-85) scored 18 points.
