There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Dameligaen.

The most exciting game of round 2 in the Dameligaen took place in Horsholm. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Aabyhoj (0-2) to Horsholm (2-0) 74-73 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 22-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Horsholm forced 25 Aabyhoj turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Aabyhoj helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Emilie Hesseldal (185-F/C-90) saved the victory by scoring 28 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (180-88, college: Siena) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Sofie Preetzmann (180-95) replied with 25 points for Aabyhoj. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Horsholm is looking forward to face SISU (#4) in Copenhagen in the next round. Aabyhoj will play on the road against Vaerlose and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
The game in Vaerlose was also worth to mention about. Lemvig (2-0) played at the court of Vaerlose (0-2). Lemvig did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 82-63. American forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Mallory Moore chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American guard Alexandra Chili (180, college: Muhlenberg) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Lemvig will play against Falcon at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaerlose will play against Aabyhoj (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Aabyhoj supposed to be also quite interesting. Lemvig (2-0) played at the court of Aabyhoj (0-2). Lemvig smashed Aabyhoj 82-57 on Wednesday. Emily Hatch notched 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 17 points by Sofie Preetzmann did not help to save the game for Aabyhoj. Aabyhoj's coach Thomas Press gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Aabyhoj will play against Vaerlose (#8) next.
The game between SISU (2-0) and Horsens (0-2) in Copenhagen ended with biggest points difference. SISU outscored guests from Horsens 85-31. The best player for the winners was Ida Pretzmann who scored 14 points and 4 assists. SISU's coach Hrannar Holm felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SISU's next round opponent will be Horsholm on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Horsens will play against Amager in Kastrup and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 2 winless Amager lost to undefeated Falcon on the road 48-74.


Vaerlose - Lemvig 63-82

The game in Vaerlose was also worth to mention about. Lemvig (2-0) played at the court of Vaerlose (0-2). Lemvig did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 82-63. Vaerlose was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 40-18 second half run of Lemvig. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vaerlose's 32. Lemvig forced 19 Vaerlose turnovers and had a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Mallory Moore chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Lemvig players scored in double figures. American guard Alexandra Chili (180, college: Muhlenberg) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian center Janet Hatfield (190-85) scored 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Lemvig will play against Falcon at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaerlose will play against Aabyhoj (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.

SISU - Horsens 85-31

The game between SISU (2-0) and Horsens (0-2) in Copenhagen ended with biggest points difference. SISU outscored guests from Horsens 85-31. The game without a history. SISU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Horsens to just 7 points in first and third quarters and to 14 points in second half. SISU held Horsens to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.5 percent accuracy of the winners. SISU forced 22 Horsens turnovers and outrebounded them 46-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Horsens' players. The best player for the winners was guard Ida Pretzmann (174-90, college: TCU) who scored 14 points and 4 assists. Swingman Katrine Dyszkant (183-86) chipped in 7 points and 12 rebounds. 79ers (Dameligaen) agreed terms with 23-year old American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian State). She played most recently at ViVe in Finnish SM-sarja, but left. In three games she had very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0spg last season. She was also voted All-Sun Belt 1st Team in 2015 at her college time.
