23-year old point guard Chad Tomko (180-PG-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Bakken and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had the game-high 31 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Bakken in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Aarhus BC (#6, 3-4) with 28-point margin 105-77. It allowed Bakken to take over top position in the Danish league. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Bakken already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Tomko had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Bakken's top player in his first season with the team. Univ. of N.Carolina-Wilmington graduate has very impressive stats this year. Tomko is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.2ppg), assists (7th best: 4.5apg) and averages solid 2.5spg,54.1% FGP and 40.5% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Tomko played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Bonell Colas (205-F-82) of Randers. He is American forward in his first season at Randers. In the last game Colas recorded impressive double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Randers cruised to a 87-80 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Naestved (#5, 3-3). This victory allowed Randers to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 9th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Randers managed to get this year. Colas is a newcomer at Randers and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Randers' star - guard Miguel Ortega (188-PG-91). Ortega showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, five rebounds and eleven assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Randers, helping his team with a 87-80 win against the higher-ranked Naestved (#5, 3-3). Randers can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Ortega he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Ortega has individually a great season in Denmark. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.0apg (5th best). He also has 2.7spg and FGP: 51.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Donald Rutherford (199-F/C-87) of Svendborg - 28 points and 11 rebounds
5. Orane Chin (200-F-88) of Bakken - 23 points and 10 rebounds
6. Keane Thomann (211-C-89) of Horsens IC - 18 points and 10 rebounds
7. Darko Jukic (198-G-90) of Horsens IC - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Caleb Walker (193-G-89) of Naestved - 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Skyler Bowlin (190-G-89) of Horsens IC - 20 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Casper Hesseldal (198-F-85) of Horsholm - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
