Lattes Montpellier claimed the third straight win at the start of EuroCup season. They stormed past SISU in Gentofte today. Gaelle Skrela (178-G-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) stepped up with 25 points to pace the visitors.
SISU and Lattes Montepellier stayed close throughout the opening frame. The scoreboard read 25:21 for the French team after ten minutes. However Sacko triggered a 13:1 run from the visitors early in the second quarter as they registered a 41:25 lead. Lattes Montpelier established a 53:31 halftime advantage. SISU started to lag behind in the third quarter. The French team secured a 69:46 lead heading into the fourth frame. Lattes Montpellier never looked back cruising to the victory at the end. Ana Lelas (183-G/F-83) nailed 18 points, while Geraldine Robert (183-F-80) contributed 17 points for the victors. Ida Pretzmann (174-G-90, college: TCU) replied with 23 points for SISU. Marie Malone (191-C-89, college: Hofstra) netted 16 points and collected 9 rebounds for the home side.

Kelly Hardeman claims Danish Dameligaen weekly honour - 21 minutes ago

Talented Filipino-American Kelly Hardeman (183-F-94) had a great game in the last round for Amager and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 22-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and seventeen rebounds, while her team beat SISU (#5, 2-7) 82-70. Amager maintains the 3rd position in Danish Dameligaen. Dameligaen Round 9: Lemvig wins their first game - 1 day ago

What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Lemvig can celebrate finally their first win this season after seven consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Aabyhoj, where they outplayed Aabyhoj (1-6) 72-53 on Wednesday. The game without a history. American Sarah DeShone put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lemvig, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The player was the main contributor (34 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat SISU (#6, 2-6) 86-71.
