However their fans expected easier game. The best player for the winners was Nicolai Iversen (205-F/C-80, college: San Jose City JC) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Bakken's coach Philip Dejworek used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Bakken have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-1 record behind leader Svendborg. Naestved at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Bakken will face Vaerlose (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Naestved will play against Aalborg (#10).

However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Naestved used huge pressure winning it 21-16 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 12-16. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). American point guard Chad Tomko (180-89, college: NC-Wilmington) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. There was no surprise when 8th ranked Randers (3-9) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Aarhus BC (5-7) 83-77 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 6 points. Aarhus BC forced 19 Randers turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Aarhus BC especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American swingman Randy Dezouvre (195-87, college: Iona) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. International guard Rasmus Soby Dalboge (191-89) chipped in 24 points and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds and forward Christian Nielsen (201-86, college: Wagner) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Randers' coach Morten Hansen rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aarhus BC maintains sixth place with 5-7 record. Randers lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Aarhus BC will face higher ranked SISU (#4) in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Randers will play on the road against the league's leader Svendborg (#1). Denmark pip Sweden in Helsinki in the start of the U20 Nordic Cup. The Danish side led 12 points entering the last stanza but escaped with a 70:69 win.
Denmark pulled the lead in the start of the game and dominated the first half. They started the game with a 20-13 lead and then led 11 points at the halftime. Another ten minutes in the court brought them 54:42 on the board, but they had difficulties to keep the victory. Sweden erupted for the final push and reduced the game to just 1 point. Jonas Zohore top-scored for the winners with 16 points. Jacob Enevold collected 8 points and 9rebounds, while Frederik Rungby (199-F-93) had 6 points and 9 boards. Marcus Eriksson (196-G/F-93) scored 26 points in defeat, whilst Tobias Borg (183-PG-93) nailed 12.

30-year old American power forward Joe Benjamin (200-99kg-83, college: West Virginia State) left Team FOG Naestved (Ligaen). In 30 games he had 11.5ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.5apg this season.
The last season Benjamin played at Horsholm 79ers. In 32 games he recorded 14.4ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.2apg and 1.5spg. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com Danish Ligaen All-Imports Team, 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game.

He has a very good post up game, shoots the 15 foot jump shot consistently, has improved his 3 point shot and his ball handling, and rebounds with the best of them.

In the playoffs Mikkel Plannthin and the Svendborg Rabbits made it ale the way to the Finals but lost in game 7. Mikkel Plannthin averaged 15.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in the 7 finals games.
Mikkel Plannthin has played for Svendborg Rabbits for 5 years and has been a Danish League Finalist all years winning the trophy in 2010.
Currently Mikkel Plannthin is participating in the preparations for the Danish NT this summer.
