Montpellier celebrated the fifth win in EuroCup Group A. They finished the regular season on a high edging SISU at home court. Ana Lelas (183-G/F-83) came up with 22 points to pace the effort. SISU ended no wins to their record 0-6.
Montpellier held the Danish side to 8 points in the opening quarter and recorded a 7-point lead after the starting frame. Montpellier stretched the distance in the second quarter. The hosts piled up a 32:20 halftime buffer. Montpellier maintained the lead throughout the third term. They arrived at the third break up by 19 points 52:31. SISU conceded 27 points in the final period and suffered another defeat at the tournament. Edwige Lawson-Wade (168-PG-79) netted 12 points, while Ana-Maria Cata-Chitiga (195-C-89) added 11 points and 11 boards for the hosts. Marie Malone (191-C-89, college: Hofstra) had 16 points and 13 boards for SISU. Tea Jorgensen (177-F-87) and Kiki Lund (177-SG-83, college: Dayton) banked 5 points each in the loss.

American Sarah DeShone put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lemvig, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The player was the main contributor (34 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat SISU (#6, 2-6) 86-71. Dameligaen Round 8: Virum loses their first game against Amager - 3 days ago

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Virum (7-1) in Kastrup on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Amager (3-3) 59-49. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Virum. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 59-49. Amager forced 21 Virum turnovers. 24-year old center Valerie Driscoll (193-C-92) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Virum and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. She had a double-double of 18 points and 20 rebounds, while her team crushed SISU (#6, 2-5) with 20-point margin 79-59. It allowed Virum to consolidate first place in the Danish Dameligaen.
