Here is the weekly review of the top performing Danish players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former U20 international forward Jonathan Gilling (201-91, currently plays college basketball in the States). He led Arizona St. to a victory against the Cal State - Northridge 87-76 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Gilling scored 12 points, had 5 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls in 37 minutes on the court. The Arizona State University has conference record this season. Gilling played for the Danish U20 national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to U20 international forward Kevin Larsen (208-93, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA. He could not help the G.Washington to beat the Rutgers, The State University (0-0). Larsen scored 9 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. But the G.Washington was edged 68-65 on the road by the Rutgers, The State University. Larsen is in the roster of the Danish U20 national team.

   #3. The Danish player who performed third best last week abroad was U20 international center Jonas Zohore Bergstedt (210-91, currently plays in EuroChallenge). He was not able to help the league outsider Etha (0-6) in their game against Tofas (4-2) in the EuroChallenge. It was not Bergstedt's best game last Tuesday. He scored only 1 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. The fourth-placed Etha was crushed 87-54 in Bursa by the second-ranked Tofas in the group A of EuroChallenge. So far Etha lost all six games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended in the EuroChallenge. This year Bergstedt averages: 3.3ppg, 4.5rpg, 2FGP: 27.3% and FT: 12.5% in the four games he played so far. He played for the Danish U20 national team one years ago.

   #4. Guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech, currently plays in France) managed to help Chorale de Roanne Basket to win against the league leader Chalon/Saor (7-3) 65-56 in the French ProA in Monday night's game. Voskuil recorded only 3 points. Chorale de Roanne Basket (4-6) closes the standings in the ProA. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Voskuil's first year with the team. This season he averages just 6.7ppg. Voskuil is a naturalized American. He used to play for the Danish national team back in 2009. Voskuil played also for Horsens IC in Danish league.

   #5. Former international power forward Anton Larsen (213-88, is currently at the American university) was not able to secure a victory for the ODU (0-1) in their game against the University of Richmond (0-0) in the NCAA. He scored 7 points in only 11 minutes. The ODU was crushed 80-53 at home by the University of Richmond. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Larsen has been at the team for four years. This season Larsen averages only 6.7ppg in the 10 games. He used to play for the Danish national team four years ago.

   #6. Forward Mathias Seilund (201-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to a 2-point Fair Dickinson's victory against the Lafayette College 82-80 in the NCAA on Friday night. Seilund scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Fairleigh Dickinson University has conference record this season. This year Seilund averages only 6.7ppg. He is a former U20 international player as he played for the Danish team two years ago.

Randers Cimbria Basketball (Ligaen) signed 26-year old American forward Eric McKnight (206-95kg-90, college: Long Beach State). He played this summer at Amistad in Bolivian Libobasquet. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others McKnight's college team won A-Sun Tournament for two years in a row (2013 and 2014). Carrefour El Bulevar de Avila (LEB Silver) landed 19-year old Danish swingman Mads Sturup (195-82kg-97, agency: Dynamics Global Management). He has played for the last three years at Team FOG Naestved in Danish Ligaen. In 31 games he averaged just 2.9ppg last season. Sturup helped them to make it to the semifinals. Bakken signs rookie Mike Gesell in his first year in pro basketball - 5 days ago

Bakken Bears (Ligaen) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American guard Mike Gesell (188-86kg-93). Gesell just graduated from Iowa (NCAA). In 32 games he recorded 7.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 6.1apg and 1.4spg last season. Great year indeed as he was voted to CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-District 6 1st Team and CoSIDA NCAA Division I Academic All-America 2nd Team.
