Undefeated leader SISU delivered the twelfth consecutive win on Saturday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Horsens (0-12) 84-51. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 33 points. SISU dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Horsens' 26 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. SISU forced 34 Horsens turnovers. American power forward Nathalie Reshard (183-F/C-86, college: Alabama) fired 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Iben Soltau (185-86, college: St.Bonaventure) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Emily White (186-92) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated SISU (12-0) have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Horsens at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. SISU are looking forward to face Amager (#6) in Kastrup in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Horsens will play on the road against the league's second-placed Lemvig and hope to get finally their first victory.
The game in Kastrup was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Falcon (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Amager (4-9). Falcon did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 80-62. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Elisabeth Hansen contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Falcon's coach Ole Vincents used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) answered with 19 points for Amager. Falcon maintains fourth place with 7-5 record. Amager lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Falcon will play against Aabyhoj (#7) on the road in the next round. Amager will play against the league's leader SISU in Copenhagen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Aabyhoj was also quite interesting. Third ranked Horsholm (8-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Aabyhoj (3-10). Horsholm defeated Aabyhoj 83-70 on Saturday. Maja Gerlyng-Hansen stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners. Horsholm's coach Johan Enbom used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Bianca Morsoe responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Horsholm. They maintain third place with 8-5 record having three points less than leader SISU. Loser Aabyhoj keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Horsholm will meet Vaerlose (#5) on the road in the next round. Aabyhoj will play against Falcon and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 13 Vaerlose was defeated by Lemvig in a road game 79-67.


Amager - Falcon 62-80

The game in Kastrup was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Falcon (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Amager (4-9). Falcon did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 80-62. The game was mostly controlled by Falcon. Amager was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Falcon outrebounded Amager 41-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Four Falcon players scored in double figures. Falcon's coach Ole Vincents used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lemvig - Vaerlose 79-67

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Vaerlose (5-8) was defeated on the road by second ranked Lemvig (11-1) 79-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Lemvig led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. American forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and FYR Macedonian point guard Ivana Udovalieva (172-84) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American guard Alexandra Chili (180, college: Muhlenberg) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Saudi Arabian guard Hanna Sheikh (180-92) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Five Lemvig and four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Lemvig. They maintain second place with 11-1 record behind leader SISU. Vaerlose lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Lemvig will meet at home bottom-ranked Horsens (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vaerlose will play against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Aabyhoj - Horsholm 70-83

The game in Aabyhoj was also quite interesting. Third ranked Horsholm (8-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Aabyhoj (3-10). Horsholm defeated Aabyhoj 83-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. Aabyhoj managed to win second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Horsholm especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. Swingman Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (180-88, college: Siena) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and guard Anne Kristensen (172-87) chipped in 15 points. Horsholm's coach Johan Enbom used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side swingman Bianca Morsoe (174-90) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and guard Maria Jespersen (182-94) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Horsholm. They maintain third place with 8-5 record having three points less than leader SISU. Loser Aabyhoj keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Horsholm will meet Vaerlose (#5) on the road in the next round. Aabyhoj will play against Falcon and hope to secure a win.

79ers (Dameligaen) agreed terms with 23-year old American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian State). She played most recently at ViVe in Finnish SM-sarja, but left. In three games she had very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0spg last season. She was also voted All-Sun Belt 1st Team in 2015 at her college time.
