Richard Delk
American guard Richard Delk (193-G-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for Vaerlose, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, eight rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Aarhus BC (#8, 5-12) with 26-point margin 95-69. Vaerlose maintains the 9th position in Danish Ligaen. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 13 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Delk had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Vaerlose's top player in his first season with the team. Former Troy University star has very solid stats this year. Delk is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.4ppg) and averages impressive 2.4spg and 50.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Donald Rutherford (199-F/C-87) of league's leader Svendborg. Rutherford had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Svendborg was edged by the lower-ranked Horsholm (#7, 5-11) 80-79. Svendborg managed to keep the same 1st spot in the standings. It was just his team's 2nd loss this season, while they won 15 other games. Rutherford is a newcomer at Svendborg, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.7ppg (#2). He also registered 10.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international forward Nicolai Iversen (205-F/C-80) of league's second-best Bakken. Iversen scored 20 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Bakken, leading his team to a 85-65 easy win against #4 ranked SISU in a game of the week. Bakken is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 14-3 record is not that bad... Iversen has a very solid season. In 17 games in Denmark he scored 16.1ppg. He also has 7.1rpg and FGP: 61.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jacob Jensen (211-C-94) of Vaerlose - 15 points and 12 rebounds
5. Chris Christoffersen (218-C-79) of Bakken - 13 points and 12 rebounds
6. Justin Baker (203-F-89) of Vaerlose - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Zack Moritz (210-C-88) of SISU - 20 points and 10 rebounds
8. Axel Karason (194-SF-83) of Vaerlose - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Robert Fields (185-G-88) of Horsholm - 18 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Hristo Petkov (202-F-85) of Aarhus BC - 16 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
