   #1. This week's number one is former U20 international forward Jonathan Gilling (201-91, currently plays college basketball in the States). He led Arizona St. to a victory against the University of Colorado (0-2) 65-56 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game. Gilling had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds in 38 minutes on the court. The Arizona State University has 2-0 conference record this season. Gilling played for the Danish U20 national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to U20 international forward Kevin Larsen (208-93, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA. He could not help the G.Washington in their last game on Friday. Despite Larsen's good performance the G.Washington was defeated 52-41 on the road by the University of Georgia. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Larsen is in the roster of the Danish U20 national team.

   #3. The Danish player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Anton Larsen (213-88, is currently at the American university). He was not able to help the ODU (0-3) in their game against the University of Delaware (1-0) in the NCAA. Larsen scored 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 14 minutes. The ODU lost 72-84 at home to the University of Delaware. So far ODU lost all three games in the conference It's Larsen's fourth season with the team. He played for the Danish national team five years ago.

   #4. Forward Mathias Seilund (201-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help Fairleigh Dickinson University in a victory against the Mt.Saint Mary's University, MD (4-7) 72-65 in the NCAA last Thursday. Seilund scored only 2 points in 10 minutes. The Fairleigh Dickinson University has 1-1 conference record this season. Seilund has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg in the 10 games he played so far. He used to play for the Danish U20 national team back in 2010.


One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Danish passport:

   #1. Tencho Tenchev (202-F-93, currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL could not help the league outsider U20 (0-11) to beat Spartak Pleven (4-7). Tenchev scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The bottom-ranked U20 was defeated 86-76 on the road by the higher-ranked Spartak Pleven (#8). So far U20 lost all eleven games in the Regular Season. Tenchev has relatively good stats this season: 11.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Danish and Bulgarian. Despite Tenchev's Danish passport, he currently plays for the Bulgarian U20 national team and is not eligible to play for the Danish team.

American-Belizean Point guard Charles Burgess (186-PG-84) had a great game in the last round for Randers, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19. The 32-year old player was the main contributor (38 points, six rebounds and eight assists) to as his team Randers maintains the 6th position in Danish Ligaen. The game between Top Four teams took place in Horsholm. 4th placed host Horsholm (8-9) lost to first ranked Horsens IC (15-2) 84-71. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Horsholm managed to win second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC forced 26 Horsholm turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Horsholm helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. We bring you last week's top performances from Danes who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is former international guard Shavon Shields (201-94).
