The most exciting game of round 22 in the Ligaen took place in Copenhagen. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Naestved (10-9) to fourth ranked SISU (11-8) 79-76 in the game for the fourth place. Naestved was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 15-11 charge of SISU, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 22 Naestved turnovers. Strangely Naestved outrebounded SISU 37-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Naestved helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Damon Smith (200-88, college: Mary) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Mikael Nielsen (178-90) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Caleb Walker (193-89, college: Nebraska) replied with 20 points for Naestved. Naestved's coach Geoff Kotila tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. SISU maintains fourth position with 11-8 record. Naestved at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. SISU are looking forward to face Horsholm (#7) on the road in the next round. Naestved will play against the league's second-placed Bakken in Aarhus and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
