Donald
Rutherford
25-year old power forward Donald Rutherford (199-F/C-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Svendborg and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 25.
He had the game-high 39 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Svendborg in his team's victory, helping them to beat Aalborg (#10, 1-19) 82-71. It allowed Svendborg to consolidate first place in the Danish league. Svendborg has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 20-2. In the team's last game Rutherford had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Svendborg's top player in his first season with the team. Catawba College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rutherford is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.2ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 9.8rpg) and averages solid 62.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mickey Dennis (190-G/F-78) of SISU. He is American swingman in his 3rd season at SISU. In the last game Dennis recorded impressive 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course SISU cruised to a 89-81 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Aarhus BC (#9, 5-17). SISU's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 13-9 record is not bad at all. Dennis is one of the most experienced players at SISU and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Axel Karason (194-SF-83) of Vaerlose (#8). Karason scored 18 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Vaerlose, leading his team to a 97-76 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Randers (#6, 10-12). The chances of Vaerlose not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Karason could try to bring Vaerlose's a little bit higher in the standings. Karason has a very solid season. In 22 games in Denmark he scored 11.4ppg. He also has 7.4rpg and FGP: 54.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Charles Funches (203-F-88) of Aarhus BC - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Adama Darboe (190-G-86) of Svendborg - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Mikael Nielsen (178-PG-90) of SISU - 27 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Anthony Jones (208-F-89) of Aalborg - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Charles Parker (193-G-85) of Bakken - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Caleb Walker (193-G-89) of Naestved - 20 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
