East prevailed against West in the Dameligaen All-Star Game. The event was held in Frederiksberg yesterday. Marie Malone (191-C-89, college: Hofstra) scored 21 points to lead the winners. She was trumped the MVP of the game. West jumped to an early lead in this one. They dominated the first frame to take a 27:22 lead at the first break. West stretched the gap in the second quarter. Led by Ivana Udovalieva (172-PG-84) they accounted for a 51:43 halftime advantage. But the East selection turned things around in the third quarter. They triggered a 28:13 rally in the period to surge ahead. East entered the fourth frame up by 7 points. West outscored their opponents 16:14 in the final quarter but could not avoid the loss at the end. Therese Deemand (175-F/G-83, college: Binghamton) and Catharina Jensen (183-G/F-89) accounted for 10 points each for the winners. Ivana Udovalieva answered with 15 points for West. Schiecher notched 14 points in the loss.

SISU and Falcon stayed close throughout the opening quarter. The hosts snatched a 21:18 lead after ten minutes. SISU stretched the advantage in the second quarter. SISU piled up a 37:29 halftime lead. The defending champions extended their advantage after the big break. SISU went on an 18:8 rally in the third frame to ensure a 55:37. SISU never slowed down in the fourth quarter and sealed the winning outcome at the end. Kiki Lund (177-SG-83, college: Dayton) notched 14 points, while Marie Malone (191-C-89, college: Hofstra) had 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Tone Heiberg (183-C/F-92) answered with 11 points and 8 rebounds for Falcon. Trenice Fuller (193-C-87, college: Hofstra) chipped in 10 points and pulled down 8 rebounds in the loss.
Lemvig managed to take home the bronze medals in Dameligaen by defeating Vaerlose BBK. Lemvig won the game 67-56.
For the winners Emily Hatch (185-F-89, college: San Diego) had 25 pts and 13 rebounds for Lemvig while Ivana Udovalieva (172-PG-84) contributed with 9 pts and 9 assists and Mallory Moore (F) with 16 pts, 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
For the loosing side Vaerlose BBK the leading scorer was Rikke Fabricius(183-C-92) with 18 pts and 7 rebounds but also 9 turnovers [read more]
