There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in Ligaen. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Svendborg (22-4) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by eighth ranked Vaerlose (10-16) 92-89. Svendborg cut a 18-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Vaerlose made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Svendborg 41-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. American forward Justin Baker (203-89, college: Utah Valley) stepped up and scored 31 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and guard Peter Moller (190-94) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) responded with 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Vaerlose moved-up to seventh place. Svendborg at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Vaerlose are looking forward to face Horsholm (#8) at home in the next round. Svendborg will play against SISU (#4) in Copenhagen and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Horsens IC (19-7) against fourth ranked SISU (16-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Horsens IC was defeated by SISU in Copenhagen 89-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Horsens IC. The former international guard Darko Jukic (198-90) came up with 33 points (!!!) for Horsens IC in the defeat.
